I recently decided to try Vegas 2 again: I changed service provider, and maybe, just maybe, I won't get the dreaded sound loop. I purchased the game through Direct2Drive, which was subsequently bought up by GameFly. I finally was able to download my game from them (that's a story unto itself, believe me). I was able to install, no problem. It auto-updated itself with the latest patch, no problem. The problem is when I run it for the first time, it asks me to register. I attempt to do so, but after awhile, it says ,that an internet connection is required. (And yes, I do have an internet connect up and running). It's as if the site is is trying to connect to no longer exists I am guessing that Direct2Drive used a service at https://fe.trymedia.com/mangus/buy.html that is no longer functional or that Gamefly does not support.
I'm hoping moderators still vist this forum and have a potential solution for this. Any help would be appreciated.
