Ok this is for everybody that has had trouble with the game launcher. you have to delete it from your registry. I'm not sure howw to do it on any other operating system but if you have windows 7 this is for you. click on start, type in "regedit" (without quotes) hit enter. Click on folder: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE. Open bottom folder named SOFTWARE. Scroll all the way down to the Wow6432Node folder open it.Scroll all the way down to Ubisoft folder open it and delete the ubisoft game launcher folder. Not done yet! now go down a little further and you will see another folder called Wow6432Node open that one. Now the bottom folder here should be uninstall, click to open. Delete all files in this folder this is everything that was deleted from your registy . download frsh game launcher installer exe and run as admin. Problem solved. Fixed it myself before ubisoft support could figure out what the deal was.

When I want to play Settlers 7 I start: C:\Program Files (x86)\Ubisoft\The Settlers 7 - Paths to a Kingdom\The Settlers 7.exe

This starts the game launcher which starts the game.

I think you need to start the file that would probably be: C:\Program Files (x86)\Ubisoft\Splinter Cell\Splinter Cell.exe
Or something like that.

The game starts the game launcher.

Am I making sense to you?

I have a problem with AC Revelations. The Game Launcher write me: Failed to load configurations. Please restart the game.
I try to download with explorel, firefox and opera, but the download link does not work. If anyone still have the exe file, then it would be nice if anyone send to my email address.

If the download link is not working this could be the root of the problem. You will need to make sure that your network is setup correctly.

Below are instructions on how to try resolving the issue:


Please disable any antivirus software or Windows firewalls to allow the Ubisoft Game Launcher access.
You can always go back later and reconfigure allowances.

Game Launcher Ports:
80, 13000, 13005, 13200-13999
(all TCP) if not using web proxy

If you are unsure of how ports work, the best course of action may be to contact your router manufacturer, system administrator or ISP for more information.
You can also try to bypass the router by plugging directly into the modem to see if the connection error persists.

Technical supports does not and I repeat does not help at all, I don't know where you get these guys. Secondly when I click on the link to get the Game Launcher it gives me the lovely message: "Internet Explorer cannot display webpage". My question is South Africa for some strange reason blocked from Ubisoft's servers or what because I have been trying everything to let this game work to no avail and I always get an error message "Login failed" on the Game Laucher and when i asked the tehcs to help me, they replied to me "Keep trying" they don't have a solution. I must say best customer support ever!! My suggestion to Ubisoft stop Uplay and just use Steam I had no problems with it when I activated a game through it. And don't think I didn't try the suggestions on FAQ. I get the idea Ubisoft has got the best ideas for games but defnately the worst to let it work on PC's. Your methods to stop piracy is really a burden to supporting customers. If your sales drop I don't think piracy will be the cause it will be your DRM's, just saying and I don't think I am the only one

The problem is bypassed. The exe file is downloaded and i except to dowloading the game.

Wildsniper9: I am assuming that you are talking about Settlers 7 since this is The Settlers forum. Although for some strange reason most of the posts here are concerning other games.
No, you are certainly not the only one.

But let me say as someone who plays this game a lot, I would be disappointed if they removed the DRM. Although for me, at the beginning, I didn't really care, one way or the other about it. I find that it gives the game an edge, knowing that someone is out there. Even when I am playing single player mode.

I'm sure South Africa is not blocked from Ubisoft servers. Not on purpose anyways. I don't know what you mean by "the link to get the game launcher". Is this a link somewhere on an Internet Explorer page, or just the icon on your desktop?

I think you can buy this game and activate it through Steam.

i did contact the support. after 3 weeks trying to fix it. it still didnt work. since the technical support gave up on me. looking for help trough forums. also got banned on facebook fanpage of ubisoft. because they didnt want me to tell others about the problem. i am trying to install ubisoft game launcher, during the installation it stops. and that was it. tried every option what otherguys suggested me. not working...

help me.
