Any chance the devs will take a second look at the weapon sights and fix them?

That's what I mean. They are horrible. In Boot you are told to touch the tip of your nose to the charging handle to ensure that you get the same sight picture every time which ensures the same point of impact every time. I realize that the devs will not impliment a 6 O' clock picture simply because the concept alone is beyond many people...especially those that do not have experience in the field. They could could however easily move the aperture and diopter sights further to the rear (much further) and blur them into infinity - which is what a correct sight picture actually is.
The pistol sights needs the same rework.
I would be willing to provide photos of proper sight pictures on duty weapons.
Or...just keep the game in 3rd person perspective.

That's how Splinter Cell Conviction was if I recall correctly. GRAW/2 for xBox was like that as well.
I would add 1x optics and perhaps 1.5x optics be kept in 3rd person as well when aiming.
Years ago I downloaded a Brettzies pack for GRAW2 on PC that made the game 3rd person. It ended up being more fun - you had the ability to choose from three settings of how much distance you wanted from your character. If you still have GRAW2, you should try it out. The Brettzies pack was done well. Something along those lines would work just fine. Or, they could just impliment the 3rd person from their previews GR titles etc. It looks like GRFS will be 3rd person as you have described, so why not?
I have a little time to kill - maybe I'll dust off Conviction for a refresher.
Edit:
Splinter Cell Conviction is as I recalled.

Not really a fan of this idea, the whole point of ADS in GRO seems to be that u trade off FoV for accuracy. If this were the case, then the 1x scopes would have no difference between each other in terms of the Open, Full, and the other one XD variants. Also they would have to balance the ability of players to maintain full FoV but still have accurate "aimed" fire compared to those who use higher magnification scopes. Ive used the 1.5x scope on my Mk16 for 10 levels and i gotta say if i was able to maintain over the shoulder cam but still have accurate fire it would just be unfair. I prefer the 1.5x scope as a utility scope since as an assault i rarely needed a higher magnification. Also what is to prevent Recon Snipers to buy a sniper with high damage with a 1.5x scope and just sniping with that? They could maintain almost full FoV and still easily see and hit enemy targets. The ironsights do need a do-over but allowing players to keep over the shoulder cam on IRS or low mag scopes is not the remedy to the problem.

I'm with Pink Taco here. The only iron sights I've used so far are my pistol's, it'd be better to fix them than to change how the ADS works. If the sights seem too far out, just repositioning them seems like the best way to go.

Good points.
Perhaps my wording made it seem like I was thinking of too wide of a field of view when aiming? I was thinking more along the lines of how GRAW2 on console was and Conviction. It is to my understanding that GRFS will done done in this fashion - I wouln't think it would take too much to impliment the aiming from GRFS to GRO.
I'll fire up Conviction again and get a couple screenshots.
What's the best way to get some screenshots up here?
