Iconic Platformer Now Available for Xbox LIVE Arcade and
Sony Entertainment®Network






London, UK - March 21, 2012 - Today, Ubisoft® announced Rayman® 3 HD, the high-definition makeover of the much loved classic, is now available to download from Xbox LIVE® Arcade for the Xbox 360® video game and entertainment and Sony Entertainment®Network.


Rayman 3 HD provides 15-20 hours of gameplay and a wealth of extra content to unlock, including nine fun stand-alone mini-games, achievements and worldwide online leaderboards. In addition, the game has been updated to run at 60 frames per second and offers improved audio quality.


Rayman 3 HD is now available for 800 Microsoft Points and £7.99 on the Sony Entertainment®Network.

Hands up if anyone noticed a bunch of discolourings in Clearleaf Forest, like a partially black sky, and wacky coloured water!
Also if you noticed the music in the first Teensie highway sounding all blippy and horrible.

Otherwise it's a good enough port so far.

About glitches: discolourings are also in HH, everything looks pink/orange instead of clear red.
There are some texture glitches, like the 'rats' who're trapped in Razoff's mansion and the pirates from the secret in HH are all screwed up.

I got 2 crashes resulting in a black screen, but for some reason they managed to fix themselves by waiting a few minutes, then pressing random keys.

The score system is changed, the 100.000 limit is gone this time. Which basically means there is no real limit anymore due to the snowboard glitch that has always been in this game.

There is also a glitch that when you complete replaying a finished level, the next level will 'copy' the score from the previous. For example, I replayed Hoodlum Headquarters and upon completion it's score got copied over to Tower of the Leptys, which made my total score lower.. Luckely I had a backup save in cloud storage.

Overall, this port is well done and there are some improvements other than HD and widescreen. The cutscenes now include full dialog where in the original version, they cut off some scenes too early (for example Murfy's line after getting the first Vortex powerup). It also includes additional sound effects during cutscenes, and the scoring changes could be seen as an improvement from a technical point of view.

I'm happy with the port, good work Ubi Shanghai.

I know this isn't the right forum for this reply. i just realized something. I found a rayman game that i play before known as rayman arena. I dont know if anyone remembers just look on google images or search it and type the game in. It was released sometime in 2001 or 2002, not sure. but i thought i bring it up cuz it was a great game that i played since i got the playstation2 but now it is hard to play or find the game since ps2 is somewhat getting outdated. I thought somehow the game could be brought back or at least in the new version. this was a great game i played and since i like the rayman games, this would be something good to bring back. if the people do bring the game back, the game should come out on the playstationvita since it doesnt have much games available plus it would look good on the playstationvita. hopefully this is something to think about. you can reply back to me about your opinion on this game if you want. Thanks
