    Fresh start!

I had a SH*%y week with the game? I don't know what it is, a set back? I was sounding crappy all weekend and could not get any song to work for me. So I stared working on Scale runner and the cord game. with the scale game I focus on using all 4 fingers and rocked it. I back at the songs today and all is good. I think I'll start using the mini games a little more. I think my new guitar needs a set-up? as well I purchased a strat copy from crags list with a case for 35$ the guitar surprisingly works good and is easy to play!

Those mini-games are excellent tools for beginners. I was really surprised when I first got Rocksmith and saw them, they could have easily just threw songs on there and had a solid product. But those are invaluable tools. Ducks, Scale Runner, and Chordead once a day and you will find things get progressively easier. When I first got Rocksmith I was like, barre chords, yeah right.. Maybe one day. Now it's just a matter of getting there fast enough. Chordead is perfect for building finger strength because its an endurance game as well as good for showing you chord shapes. I play it before I quit for the day because by the time you're finished your hands are just worn out

If you haven't looked at them, you should also play the technique challenges, any beginner guitarist will gain a lot from them. Not only do they let you practice new techniques but they are preceded with a video explaining exactly what you should do and what you should not do.

For me i find that if my thoughts are focused on something other than rocking out i have a hard time getting into my practice mode and if something is bothering me i can almost never rock out like i know i can and it gives me a feeling like i want to quit , the main thing i do to help this is before i pick up my guitar ill try to think about my set list and think about how i will feel when im playing them, its important for me to not play mad because i suck hecka bad at guitar when im mad i loose all emotion and feeling and it feels like im just going throu the motions, I make a point to never go to bed angry and its just as important to never play my guitar angry, i think that my emotion is the one thing that will effect in a huge way how i rock out so its important to not get worked up and try to not let little things bother me, not only will you be more happy but IMHO you will rock out so much better too, we all need positive feed back in one way or another at times to help keep us on track , I think the best kind of positive feed back is the feeling you get when you start to understand some trick that seemed impossible before, so its important to set realistic goals that will push you to learn but not push so hard that it takes away the fun from learning

    good luck

at the very start you can get by with the one finger method, BUT
very soon you are going to need all them didgets.
