Toys take away from most satisfying aspect in a shooter

Please be careful with all the UAV's and toys you add, it will distract and take away from the true satisfaction in a shooting game, which is using your gun and communicating with teammates over a mic. We don't want Call of Duty where it's all distractions and and where one guy can take over a game.

Similar to life now, the quality of life has diminished because of all the gadgets we have to distract us. Same goes with a shooter. The more you add in it just takes away from the the pure satisfaction of a shooter and replaces it with prosthetic satisfaction.

Agreed and that's what a lot of us have been saying for a long time. Too many gimmicks and gadgets that encourage people to *not* use real teamwork. It's happened every single time in every other shooter that's come out with these things for the past couple of years. People don't communicate or play cooperatively anymore. These games are overrun by selfish lone wolf players (whom 90% of the time suck balls at shooters anyway) and having things like augmented reality highlighting enemy positions only encourages that style of play. After all you don't need to communicate if every enemy is lit up by some giant red icon.

Happens ALL the time in Battlefield 3. It's going to happen here too.

Then don't use the intelgrenades and drones...i know we wil only use our headsets to communicate, instead of highlighting the enemy..more fun.

I agree! I like the drone because it is realistic. They do use them in actual military missions. I just hope that it is used mainly for marking targets. I don't mind if you can kill someone with it but it better be 1 to 3 rounds it can hold max. I enjoy the shooting and teamwork also. Going to be an awesome game! Can't wait. Hopefully the beta is early April.

that's easier said than done on a game what looks set to force players to rely on such gimmicks just like the drone, sensor grenades, camocloak and Augmented reality

    Viam inveniam aut faciam...
I shall find a way or make one...

Maybe with some parts of the game(breaching buildings), but looking at the peshawar/tigerdust/nigeria or valiant hammer map, could do without those grenades and drones...Could take a lot longer to set up a take down, if you only use voice instead of marking..And the firefight in the streets of peshawar wil be tougher and could take longer, because you don't know were the enemy actually is..Then real teamwork and voice communication is key..can't wait

This wouldn't be a problem if every game allowed open, custom games to be made and searched through a server browser instead of forcing players to use matchmaking with set conditions.

This thread is stupid because it is the exact opposite of what should actually happen. I mean are you kidding me? All of technology, gadgets, etc are the #1 reason I look forward to Ghost Recon. It is a tactical shooter! Call of Duty and those games are the ones that hardly use any gadgets! Whoever made this thread and agrees with whoever made it are delusional. If you don't want gadgets, go play other shooters, because not shooters have the fun, realistic and cool amount of gadgets that make these games tactical. WE DON'T WANT ANOTHER COPY AND PASTE SHOOTER GAME THAT'S ALL ABOUT KILLING 700000000 enemies like some unrealistic shooter. We want fun, tactical, realistic, take your time, plan it out, let it all fit together when you coordinate your attacks, game.

That would be dumb because that would remove the whole point of teamwork. If you just want a 3rd person shooter with ni gadgets, go play Gears Of War. Gadgets encourage teamwork and coordination.
