Is there any way of activating your cd-key and downloading the game instead of installing it via disc?

it actually depends on the game. Say you have anno 2070, there is no disc for it if you buy it from the ubishop, but for heroes of might and magic 6 there is a disc and a pc download.

*necro on* As i found nothing on this topic i'll post my issue here:
1. bought digital download ANNO 2070 (i don't remember where)
2. fragmented disk
3. didn't care for like 5 months
4. installed uplay
5. game does not show - but achievements do. (lol)
i still have my cd key for it, where do i get the game from now?
