The ammo counter is not updated on the unequipped weapon.

The pistol of instance. If you're out of ammo on that gun, and using your main. You go and pick up some rounds off a dead guy. The counter on the pistol will not update until you reequip the gun.

The ammo pickups only affect the weapon you currently have in your hand. While having them effect both would be nice, in my opinion the ammo drops are so small it would be counterproductive to do both.

I agree, and I first I thought it WAS only affecting the equip weapon. But this video seems to show otherwise.

Correct if i'm missing something, but my pistol just got 4 bullets out of nowhere.
