I had the same problem, the screen was just white, but I managed to fix it. It was because of the power savings settings on the Macbook Pro automatically switching to the weaker graphics card. You need to go to System Preferences > Energy Saver and turn off "Automatic Graphics Switching". This worked for me and the game is running perfectly ever since.

I got my driver working after I follow the host editing instructions from odd duck

    http://forums.steampowered.com/forum....php?t=2183652

I didn't have to download the game launcher, I only erased those lines from hosts and it's working now, proof:

See, Ubisoft doesn't even care about computer gamers - all they care about is the console gamers. The game is pretty messed up for PC as well, so I'm not suprised it doesn't even work for the Mac. And don't expect answers from the support, and even if you get answers, all they are going to tell you is to update your graphics and sound drivers and close background programs, and when you ao all of these and the problem isn't fixed, they will start to repeat themselves (I'm saying this from my experience - I've contacted them too many times because of this game).
It's a shame though. Such a great game this is, and they've simple ruined it. Thank you Ubisoft for ruining another great game.

BTW Warn your friends - tell them to not buy this game. Ubisoft doesn't deserve this money, they sell something that doesn't even work. I have the PC version of the game and I couldn't enjoy it at all - The lag was insane and the multiplayer stopped working after a while. And before it was released I've waited so much for this game, but as I mentioned before, Ubisoft has just simply ruined the game on PC (and Mac...). On consoles the game is brilliant though.
Just shut up. This worked for me perfectly until I installed Mountain Lion. Then I got the white-screen trouble. Ok?

MacBook Pro turn 'automatic graphics switching' off will fix the problem!

I had the same problem, every time I started Driver San Francisco I only got a white screen with only the sound of the game.
I just fixed that problem by turning the energy saving settings of on my MacBook Pro (late 2012 model.)
It appears that the game used to start with just the standard video-card enabled. By changing the settings 'automatic graphics switching' to off, you force the computer to load the game with the NVIDIA GeForce GT 650M 512 MB instead of the standard Intel HD Graphics 4000 videocard:

Now it works fine on my MacBook Pro with Mountain Lion (8gb RAM)

    Greets,

Weird thing: I reinstalled the game and I was able to start it up for only once. After I was done playing and the next time I wanted to relaunch the game, the blank screen problem was back.

    Sooooo dissapointed..

Oh my! I found a solution on this forum and it works!

"Download "gfxCardStatus" and switch to "discrete only" before starting the game" and it will WORK on your macbook pro. Spread the word! :-)
I've downloaded "gfxCardStatus" as you told so and... UHUUU!!! 100% SOLVED! THANK you SOOOOO MUCH!

None of the Ubisoft games seem to work properly on the Mac. I have Driver San Francisco and Splinter Cell Conviction via Steam. Both have huge lagging issues, which make them completely unplayable. And there's no way to get any technical support from Ubisoft!!!! I know now to never buy from Ubisoft again!
