The application failed to initialize properly

Hi, I just got the beta key, but the installer refuses to let me download the game.
It says I dont have net framework 3.5 SP1 or internet explorer.

What? .net 4.0~ is the latest which I am running and IE is bound to windows integrally, I couldent get rid of it if I wanted to.

I did try to fix it, enabling the .net 3.5 from control pannel and reinstalling it but it still gives me this error.

    Any help is appreciated.

Yes I have, but it gives me this error:

Which is very annoying considering that I did check both the .net 3.5 boxes in said menu.

    Any adivce?

If you haven't fixed yet or have done any searching, I found this: http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/For...c-762dfe691ae2
How to turn on/off windows features?
    Click the Start buton
Click Control Panel –> Programs –> Turn Windows Features on or off
Select the check box next to the feature you want to turn on or clear the check box next to a feature you want to turn off
    Click OK

Hey, iv done that already, thats the problem, iv turned it on, and it did not work.

I turned it off - restarted
    turned it on - restarted
Then attempted to update .net and it still gives me that error.

I have no clue whats going on.

This error is very annoying. Ubisoft has given no fix for us yet

I wonder why it only affects some of us?

    FOUND A FIX:

when the error pops up, CTRL+ALT+DELETE start tast manager, go to processes, find launcher.exe, right click open file location(or similar) and then run the lancer you find in this folder as administrator.

I have the same error in win xp, I couldn't make it to finding launcher.exe location because there's no find location in task manager. Can anyone help me:S?

Yeah, I was having the same issue, but then I used Process Explorer and found it. To save you the trouble...

    C:\Documents and Settings\(ComputerNameHere)\Local Settings\Apps\2.0\6JBPE3ZD.TMT\Y710CPWK.BP8\laun.. .app_59711684aa47878d_0001.0018_9a5fd80a717397a1

You may have to find it manually, because if you try to go to it by typing that out it tells you it can't find it. It should be able to find up to \Y710CPWK.BP8\ and then it's as simple as clicking into the folder and starting the launcher.
