Recon with Sniper Rifle unsurprisingly has the most votes.
With both Recon "with Sniper Rifle" and "on higher ground" of those combined, it appears at least 50% of the players really want to be Recon.
I of course chose Specialist with LMG and Aegis, which you can see is highlight because I voted for it, because I am a baller.

But seriously, many of the people on Facebook haven't gotten access to the game yet but we can already predict that the very first class they'll choose is the Recon.
This really bugs me as we have guaranteed lack of class diversity in the game as soon as the open beta/official release starts.
The GRO team really needs to start promoting the other classes.

The recon's abilities, IMO are the most accessible and most applicable in almost all situations. It is always useful to see enemies through cover, and always useful to be invisible, where as the other classes' abilities are very situational and are not always applicable. The map design is also linear enough that flanking a good sniper or two can be very difficult and they can hold an unorganized team back quite well, making snipers very attractive.

Not to mention that the game is called "Ghost Recon" and the class is called "recon".

Also, I've noticed a trend in F2P games that people really like to snipe.

We need to play on a team together. When I use oracle with specialists' ageis we rock. I've done this with a few people and it's awesome. He puts the bubble up and I start pinging everyone's locations as I stay inside his bubble. Since I can move a lot faster than him it's very easy. That's the thing with a lot of these abilities, they are great when teamwork is involved.

I've always wanted to do that. But I don't hold any influence to win the cooperation of a Recon to do that with me.
