The Chronicles of Tandria were they ever finished?
When I played the Chronicles of Tandria and reached the Rebel Realm and the Great Wall I was a bit disapointed that after getting rid of Kondoran and getting across to the other side, only to find that two of the possible pathways were completely devoid of any thing or anyone. The lands to the left were topped up with enemies that had to be defeated in order to complete the game. The other two lands were for want of a better word a waste of space.
This suggests to me that either these two territories were left empty deliberately so that any future campaign could be launched through them from the finishing point of the last game or that the map was never actually completed for some reason and just pushed out anyway.
I would like to think that my first thought was the right one and that the level will act as a spring board for further adventures to come. As it was it was a bit of a let down as an endgame level as it really just ended up as a hoarding level, spending ages making coins and what not to satisfy a quest requirement to complete the level.
That having been said the recent seeming abandonment of the game does not really fill me with expectation that the game will have anything new added to it let alone further adventures.
Even this forum since its revamp appears to have gone the same way as the game itself and slipping slowly into obscurity with more posts about previous versions tha the latest one.
I just wonder if anyone else felt a bit let down by this endgame level that really looks now like an unfinished rush job.

If I recall correctly (I am too lazy to replay that whole mission right now) all three territories were to be conquered. The one with bandits? was blocked by a landslide that had to be cleared - I don't remember how and then (I think) bribery was used to win the sectors there. And the other with some kind of temple?, I think, must have needed clerics to be sent.
Or is my memory just bad.

It has been over a year since I did it to `Sings` and yes you are right you have to conquer the Chief bandits on the left (or west) then unblock the entrance to the Hermit`s land opposite and then to the north the heathens temple you cannot do one until the other has been completed,
You are right the end level did become an exercise in all three disciplines of the game, to produce soldiers, clerics and goods.
Finished off by a final requirement if I remember to cast so many of your own coins.
I realise that the level required an understanding and the use of all three disciplines in order to complete it but man was it boring come the end sitting there waiting for them to finish the task.
The lands conqured seemed to be a lot bigger than they maybe needed to be given their size I was expecting some sort of follow on or follow through passage to the next installment yet to be created but it seemed a lot of work for a disappointing end.
Once the bandit chief was over thrown there were no further credible enemies so there was no real pressure to finish it really quickly - no real jeopardy involved just get everone working and do the business.
Like I say it has been over a year now but still nothing new to work on - all a bit sad really.

Yes, I found the great wall very tough. I've probably done it twice and both times finished with seconds to spare, it seems to me. It's been a while and I would do it again now but my game is a little bit broken at the moment and I can't play the Campaign or the Chronicles (or skirmish or read my mail).
But I think one thing I did was to build shortcut roads for my replacement army units. Unlike the generals, they will take shortcuts. Every little bit helps. I can't remeber anything else in particular. Maybe if Ubisoft gets my game fixed.....

Hi thanks for the reply, but what do u mean with a shortcut? I hardly have time to get an army and if I attack the computer he gets free generals with 35 units!

I just mean build a road that is shorter than the road that is already there. When you recruit new soldiers they run to join the army, and if they have a shortcut they will get there a few seconds faster.
It doesn't make a big difference but if you are close then 3 or 4 seconds might do it.
