Hi, is it possible to also fix the quest bug in Haven level "Tempt Not A Desperate Man"? I've just found that quest 'Snakes in Haven' is broken; when I've converted both Sanctuary towns to Haven, it shows as 2/2 on the quest, however it will not complete?
Please fix the conflux, and code so i can play without crash. I hope that 1.4 will fix the stability. It is major issue and should been fixed in 1.1 or 1.2 i dont understand why it isnt fixed already.
Thanks for sharing this information with us, Irina! I sure am glad to hear that internal issues have been resolved and the game updates are coming!
I'd like to share an observation I made last week to express what I wish to see improved in Heroes VI. I've been following the news regarding the upcoming Heroes VI game pretty much since it's been announced and was very disappointed when the last faction to reveal was Sanctuary, In the end it turned out to be an interesting addition to classic factions, but I really hoped to see Academy, Dungeon or Sylvan. These 3 factions are by far my favorite, and it's quite disappointing to see none of them in the new installment of the Heroes series. I was sure I'd see at least one of them. I know Haven and Infeno are a must have due to typical Heroes plot. Necromancers are arguably the most loved faction in the community, so these were a given. Sanctuary is a tribute to innovations, which is kind of the thing of H6. But Stronghold... I didn't expect that.
I've been playing on and off since the release of H6. I didn't finish even half of campaigns yet and didn't play many multiplayer maps, but I enjoyed what I've already seen. So, to my observation. Recently I decided to give Clash of Heroes a try and liked the game very-very much! After finishing half of the game, I was hyped to play "real Heroes" too. Got my wife to play a multiplayer map, but ended up playing Heroes V: Tribes of the East. Because currently in Heroes VI there are noone I'd like to play as! I enjoy Clash of Heroes not only due to its addicting gameplay and awesome visual style, but for the fact that I can play as the factions I love! Heroes V is in the same boat - I simply love this game. It has so much diversity! Your playstyle is greatly dependant on what talents you choose. Think the control of battlefield of Summoning Mage or the raw power of Chaos Warlock - it's like day and night!
I understand that new factions are to be released in the upcoming expansions and that the patches aren't meant for such new features. But I still wish the developers give me the enjoyable side to play as. I find the humans of Haven boring and have no interest in Stronghold orcs, Sanctuary is okay, but no my cup of tea. Necropolis and Inferno gained some disgusting vibe in their visuals. I don't mean to bash the designers - the artwork is great! It's just that I prefer prettier looks of my troops. But that's ok. The problem for me is the balance. I like to play as magic heroes and I prefer Blood for its offense. The magic-blood Necomancers are quite powerful, though tears are considered stronger. On the other hand, magic-blood Inferno is lacking, especially against the aforementioned Necromancers. If I play Necromancers I feel as if I'm cheating - they are so strong against whatever! And if I play as Inferno - I feel cheated myself! I wish to see Necromancers nerfed due to their high damage output, insane healing and resurrecting and on top of it all - the innate resistance to various spells and mechanics due to the undead nature of units. The demons on the other hand aren't very inspiring. They have no real healing and the units are very fragile - it's hard to prevent major casualties. Also, I'm not a fanof gating - I find this ability useless for almost all game, it becomes powerful only in late game, with big fights between players. As a blood mage, I still have a feel I must use tears abilities all the time - for healing and protecting my otherwise dying troops. So I end up having tears reputation as high as blood, which holds skill development. The blood mage Inferno skills themselves aren't too bright either. Armageddon deals pathetic damage even after meditation and the bouncing flame thingie is easily countered by a human player (while still useful against AI).
So I wish Necropolis power to be toned down, Inferno to be not so squishy or to be balanced around having casualties every now and then and to have more balance between blood and tears abilities. For example, direct damage spells are too weak in late game. It has always been like that, but now it's more so than ever. In previous Heroes games the higher level spells not only dealt area-of-effect damage, but were also stronger than their single-target versions. Now, Chain Lightning and Fireball and such spells are so weak, there not mush point to use them often. Also, there are no powerful level 5 single-target spells - only lesser damage mass versions of other spells. And also Implosion, which isn't much better than more cheap Lightning bolt. To help with damage scaling warlocks in H5 had talents, which dramatically increased spell damage - with luck affecting spells and Arcane Wave the spells did 3x the damage plus the bonus for elements matching, which could also be boosted by talents, artifacts or town structures.

Hello. First, I want to say thank you for finally returning to communication. It may be a little too late, however. This game is still entirely unplayable. I have not yet completed a multiplayer match with my friend, because in every game we play, it crashes. At some point during the campaign, the computer will take over my friend's character, move it a little, and then the game will lock up. This has ruined every game we have tried to play with each other, and we will continue to refuse to even load the game up until this issue is fixed. I can deal with a few game errors, such as abilities not working, or bonuses not being awarded. At least we can play around that. But there is no point of playing this game if we can't finish a game. I'm running out of options aside from giving up on Ubisoft altogether.
P.S. Anyone complaining about town screens needs to get a perspective on what's important. Physical ability to play the game trumps bells and whistle to make the game more interesting.
Thank you for the information,Irina.
I'm excited about the new patch!
Well, this is welcome news!
While I don't seem to be having near the number of issues many other players do (knocking wood), these patches seem like a good start and I like the regularity with which you folks plan on continuing.
But what gets me on the edge of my seat is the tease at the end.
Please Irina, don't tease us long.
Some kind of expansion?
Town screens?
New factions?
More maps?
A random map generator?
Okay, I'll wait.![]()
Hm, last patch is [already] scheduled on August, so there is 0 reason to play before it's released. Also, have to wait for a few weeks after in case it breaks something else.
Anyway, that's not why I am writing this post. I just want to make one thing clear:
Does AI (all AI heroes) in current patch (1.2.x) still have more movement points than it is possible to get with + logistics + artifacts? Or after tweaking the AI this 'feature' has been removed?
This is a very good question indeed. Are there ways for the AI to accrue more movement points than is possible for a human player?
By the way thank you Irina/Ubisoft for providing a thorough piece of well-written communication that brings some much wanted light on the development process. Cheers!
Good to hear they are going to start patch up heroes, I hope I can log in by mid march to check this out, if the conflux let me that is.
