Well in his defense....those police dogs bite hard. They shouldn't have those prison inmate/dog training programs.![]()
Police dog.......hahaha...
I think it was his personal dog, but I'm not sure, but we wish him a speedy recovery.
Tolling the news of my misfortune, huh? Well, I'm no longer sedated, off the pain meds, and I'll be back to work
next week. Yes, it was my own dog that bit me (accidentally), but she's half German Shepherd & half Akita, so she's a bruiser with a big, square, jawline and a vice-grip, bite. I certainly got the guard-dog I wanted, from both breeds. She just needs to learn when to turn off the juice.
Went to the orthopedic specialist today. The prognosis is good, the splint is off and I just have to wait for the infection to subside. If I hadn't intervened, she would've tore into a little boy like a woodchipper does a log.
For awhile there though, I was a little out of it, petting the wifeand kissing the dog.
My wife was angry with me (no, not over the dog thing), because the night it happened, blood was pouring off of my hand and I refused to go to the hospital. It wasn't until the next morning when I awoke with a swollen, immobilized, thumb, that I agreed to have an ambulance respond. So there, the cat's out of the bag.
He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the hearts of men; yet they cannot fathom what God has done from beginning to end.

Happy to hear you're recovering nicely, Werhner. I've never sure with our mutual friend MWolfe whether he is kidding or not. I was waiting to hear you'd been by a Chiwawa or something equally ferocious.![]()

Glad you're better Wernher. A little learned advice. If you need physical therapy for your hand, don't go to just anyone. Go to a clinic that specializes in sports medicine, and make sure they have high level athletes. After all you are a professional athlete.![]()
The're in their bars, drinking, celebrating our sinking! Not yet my friends, not yet!
That bacteria in a dogs mouth is dangerous stuff, small bites can lead to big infections. Years ago I took a small bite, that night it was a lil swollen, next day my hand was big as a watermelon, had to have surgery to drain it...........
Glad the lil boy didn't get hurt.........
Good to see your on the mend
