Have been playing Far Cry for about a year, when I lost my application through a system crash. I bought a new D/L, and started over. Is there any way to get my old saved games and profiles transferred to the new install.

Yes, in the far cry folder is a folder called profiles. In that folder is all your saved games and your player profile.
The entire path name is ..\farcry\profiles\player. If you can recover that folder and replace the new one that is created upon a new install with it, then all your saves will be restored.
