    Annecy Q&A - Multiplayer

    I'd like to open this by making 2 things clear. First of all, this Q&A opportunity is not designed to undermine the work the Forum Managers and other community staff do on a regular basis with regards bringing our concerns to the dev team. Hopefully this will compliment their efforts.

    Secondly, i cannot guarantee that all questions posted here will be asked (or can be answered). HOWEVER, as this will be a community driven question and answer exercise, it is up to you to agree on what questions i put to the people from Annecy. No favouritism or bias here. You decide what i'll ask, and i'll ask the questions (obviously within reason and minus profanity or rudeness)


    With that said, i have been granted the opportunity to put some community questions to one of the devs from the Ubisoft Annecy studio (they handle the MP side of this game for those who are unaware). Even though there is a patch/ title update on the way (with more fixes apparently in the works), this is still a chance to make our collective voice heard via other means. Use this thread to ask the questions you want answered (bearing the above disclaimer in mind). I intend to hopefully have some solid questions to ask by Monday the 20th lunchtime (UK time)

    As this thread (hopefully) grows, we can collate the best questions (that we all agree on) and compile them as a list. As i've stated above, i will ask all those that we all agree should be asked. Thanks.

    So it is is possible to ask something about bugs, glitches, etc?

    My question:
    Do you know about the Silent Streak Bug on PC and how could the bug arise?

    Yes. This thread is to collate the burning questions on the state of the MP. Ask about glitches, ground finish priority, design decision, group matchmaking, etc etc

    Not exactly a bug question, but here mine are:

    Why did you feel that it was necessary to bring back the Harlequin as the Jester, but not redesign the Hellequin? (I know this has been asked before previously, but it never got a proper answer) Gleemaiden could have been a name for her. (Just had to say it)

    How come the Jester is given one dagger for his unique weapon, but one of his kill animations sounds like two daggers are used? Also, why did his appearance need to differ from his concept design, where he has two long hat-tails, while his in game model has them shortened to just be ear-rings?

    Ok: Seems like a lot of complaints and more annoying tactics originate from the stun prompt.... several people have suggested that the stun prompt should be removed --- but not the range --- for a pursuer who is stealth or incognito? This sounds like a relatively minor change that would have a massive positive impact. Has this been discussed and what are your thoughts?

    Few questions. More to come.

    Question 1: In team modes, who does ground finishes have more priority over actual targets who you have locked and built incognito on? What is the purpose of doing that?

    Question 2:
    In assassinate, I see someone and I try to lock on to him. But surprise, someone else is running right behind him, but not exactly behind. Now, be it fast lock or long press lock to point the reticule at the person, you ALWAYS lock the person in high profile action. What is the purpose of that?

    Question 3: When you are chasing after a guy who is chasing/running behind someone else, if by mistake you lock someone, anyone who has played assassinate can tell you how IMPOSSIBLE it is to take out the lock and run behind them. You unlock and lock them back. Either the same person or the other person in the chase/run. This lock/unlock design involving the high profile action is definitely not helping. Was this scenario discussed upon while coming up with the lock/unlock design?

    Question 4: Why have such a LONG stun dodge animation? This has happened MILLIONS of times in Assassinate. I poison someone, take out the lock, he tried to stun me, I dodge and before I can react, someone else kills my poisoned target and I get intercepted BONUS.

    Question 5: About the reverse stealth meter (or RDM), building the incognito from discreet is fine. But why move it or drain it back when target moved out of sight? This is particularly difficult in modes like wanted where people are running. Why not hold it still unless YOU make a high profile action? Just like in ACB? What was the rationale behind draining the meter when target moves out of LOS?

    Questions

    1. Why is there no way to turn down the music volume in order to hear whispers better? (music and whispers are on same track) Why did you decide to have the music so continuous and loud in MP?

    2. This is related to top question...why are the heralds and vendors so loud in this game?

    3. Why are we expected to pay for DLC that has content from Brotherhood that we already paid for in ACB?

    4. Why is the animus barrier so bright on Venice? It makes it very hard to see anything else on that map...it gives off a glare.

    You arent expected to do anything. DLC is for those that want to add to their games which adding the new modes to the old maps does.



    Will you be able to ask questions about AC3?
    Questions:
    1. Will there be MP in AC3?
    2. Will there be Co-Operative missions in AC3
