    Useful information on Camp Griffiss in Bushy Park, London - named after Lieutenant Colonel Griffiss. Also photos of the memorials to SHAEF and the USAAF: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Camp_Griffiss.

    This is quite near the spot where I had a rather too close encounter with Red Deer stags a year or so ago - next time I'm in the park, I'll see if I can get some photos of the memorials, and of any visible evidence for the camp - bad-tempered deer permitting.
