You people make it sound like Andriy Kobin was Toufexis's only gig.
No way!
Elias Toufexis is Adam Jensen
It seems like Ghost Recon Future Soldier has the same problems as Splinter Cell Conviction. After all they had a similar development cycle.
The review of Eurogamer seems to hit the nail on the head: Eurogamer - Review: Ghost Recon Future Soldier
100% Agree
The core tactical gameplay (from the numerous SP vids) is being praised by all. The Stealthy Conviction-esque approach to the gameplay is brilliant IMO. The game is designed and built for that. BUT they went ahead with the Michael Bay school of development.
Its like how the D-ops allows SCC gameplay to shine..with the SP diluting the experience.
I see myself being a staunch defender of GRFS's tactical gameplay....but launching an all out attack against the SP pacing and scripted BS.
Oh and another thing...here's an interesting thread regarding GRFS's reception (mad by yours truly) and truly reflects how I feel:

If you're planning to buy GRFS or are remotely concerned about the franchise..drop in and post your opinion...I really want it to gain steam and get some visibility.
I had warned of this CONSTANTLY...SEVERAL TIMES....I kept posting how the core tactical stealth gameplay's brilliance will be overshadowed by the nonsensical BS and how it erodes the GR identity.
Mind you the negative reaction is NOT to the new gameplay loop and mechanics (all well received...optical cloak, "wall hack" etc.) but the bombastic direction
P.S
Hooray for Stealth Fans...GRFS looks extremely promising on this front!
Exactly. I liked the Stealth videos and I sure as hell would have a lot of fun with the features available in GR FS like I have in Deniable Ops. But as in Splinter Cell Conviction they need to go back take the very good stuff of the previous games (which defined the series) and combine them as we all hope will happen in SC6. I actually saw this coming too with GR FS but I didn't follow the development of that game that much. I recently bought the complete series at Steam to have some fun with that. I mean the MP is being praised here too. So they should actually know what they have to do for the next game, just as the SC dev team knows what they have to do to make a better SC.

Here is what I think after reading that review
- Story should have stayed away from the whole another Nuke Missile gone missing, didn't we already have enough of those ?!, I am worried about SC6 now, cause I was having high hopes that GRFS will have the Clancy kind of story, also you mentioned before Andre that Broken Arrow is used to describe stolen Nuclear Missiles right ?!
- Action & Explosions are forced, and let's be honest it is intended, Ubi want to cater action fans, so they need to put that, show it, and add more on rail sequences, TBH the casual fans exceeding the hardcore fans kinda mess up the whole balance in the games, I hope one hardcore game may change that one day, and show that hardcore market it still rocking (highly unlikely though)
- The Command is diluted, a good thing and a bad thing, a good thing since your A.I teammates are actually really good, bad cause it takes away from your control.
Anyway I am kinda glad that the SP seems to be really around 12hrs or something, and that the game offers challenge, I think for the next GRFS they need to add a few squad command, like Shobhit suggested some time ago, a retreat command so we can get out of the fire fight sequence, re-engage cloak and then try again stealthy, throw Stun/Gas grenade, Focus fire on someone, .........etc, and a better plot of course.
((I will hole definite subject on the plot till I play the game myself, I am worried, but reading This Interview , makes me think that maybe I will like the story.))
I really hope SC6 stays away as possible from the action, but it won't, Jade Raymond even said it that SC6 will have the same action flicks SCC had, I hope at least they give us the option to avoid those action moments and not make it forced, I hope E3 demo isn't about action michael bay stuff too.
oh and one last thing, I think GRFS is actually good for a start, like SCC, they started good after having a long development cycle (even though I loved the 2010 Version of GRFS), so I am having (again) high hopes that both SC6 & GRFS2 will be alot better than their predecessor, that they will build on the good, and avoid the bad, guess we will see how everything goes with SC6, and I hope R6P doesn't suffer the same development cycle of SCC/GRFS.
Did I rant so much just now !!!!!

Thumbs up to Sameers last post. Couldn't agree more.
I've been playing GRFS for about an hour now, and there seem to be some really weird glitches that happen almost consistently. The biggest one is how crowd NPCs get startled by you, and "drop" items they're carrying - and the objects all hover in mid air. It's pretty sad just how noticeable this glitch is.
The stealth is very good, in it. I am really enjoying the rail sequences, which is odd for me and a video game. I guess because most rail sequences are so dry - the only one I've been on so far, in GRFS - and we saw it in a demo - protecting a VIP and having to shoot, one-handed. It's different, regardless of being on a rail, or not.
I enjoy the whole "documentary" type of feel, the game has. Now only if I had some friends to play with. *forum hint*
