Please, can someone help in the following?

I've just installed S3 in win7 platform. After some problems (S3.ex patched and vids:iv50) now solved, now the problem is:

After intro video, and scenario selection windows, just when clicking to start to play, the following error message appears

"Structured Exception c0000005 occurred at 0x005FC60C. Read from 6a848d8e failed."

several different scenarios has been chosen none of them runs.




Have someone solved this error already?

I had an almost identical error when I tried to play S3 on my windows 7 pc, and my game crashed at the same point, after the intro video. one of the mods suggested I try a few "fixes", none of which did, then I was told that someone else who might know how to fix it would be alerted to my post. needless to say, nothing came of it. so like you, as of this very minute, I still can't get settlers 3 to work, after several months.

I too have this issue with both home desktop (XP SP 3) and work laptop Win 7 -

Structured Exception c0000005 occurred at 0x005FCDFB. Read from 162140a failed. (Win7)

Structured Exception c0000005 occurred at 0x005FCDFB. Read from 3e754dd1 failed. (WinXP)

I have followed all the instructions provided by Penny (in the forums), checked the internet and still not found any solution anywhere? Any pointers? Please please ???
