Problem with Kinect detecting my movements.

So I've been trying to use Your Shape and Kinect again to work out the last week or two, and I've been having a lot of problems with it. I only have the original Your Shape, and the problem I'm having is Kinect seems to have problems detecting me during certain workouts. Some I'll do them perfectly and other I'll get a 0% score because for whatever reason it will not detect my movements. I've tried using the Kinect Tuner, I've tried calibrating the Kinect, I've tried moving the Kinect to different locations, both above and below my TV. I've tried cleaning the Kinect and made sure there was nothing blocking the sensor. I'm standing between the 6-10 feet required, I'm not wearing baggy clothes, etc. I have no idea what else could be wrong with it. I'm doing most of the exercises just as the trainer does on screen or to the best of my ability. I know I'm not the problem most of the time when it can't even register that I have my arms gathered and they're pretty much as gathered as they can get.

I tried ignoring this at first and just doing the exercises, but it gets pretty annoying when I know I'm doing the exercises correctly but it still says I'm not, and it doesn't matter what exercises I do either, cardio, toning, yoga, you name it. It's really frustrating and I'm about to take a sledgehammer to both my Kinect and and the Your Shape disc and mail them to the respected companies that make these products.

    Any help would be appreciated.

Kinect doesn't like bright daylight. Perhaps this is the reason for the recognition problems. But even with a relatively dark room light, the detection rate varies widely. Certain postures are detected more often wrong than others. Sometimes the solution is to do exactly the opposite of what the trainer recommends you. For example, if he says, "Keep your arms closer together" and that leads to nothing, then hold them a little wider.
I was often annoyed about the recognition rate of the original YSFE, too. For this and some other reasons, I've bought the successor YSFE 2012 immediately on publication. Much has improved, but the recognition is still not perfect.
Maybe we can assist you better, if you specify the exercises that cause you the most problems.

Adding to what K1200GTRED has said: I found that in YSFE1 that there was often a slight delay in the trainer voice remarks so that you may have already made a correction on your own before the trainer voice say anything. So making a further correction will not help. Sometimes the trainer voice is just plain wrong. When making corrections keep an eye on the green dots in the chart at the upper right corner of the screen. If you're getting good green dots don't listen to the trainer. Sometimes the correction is minute. Shoulders maybe a little to high or low, knees need to be a little more bent or straightened. I know it can be maddening at times. YSFE1 seems to be more sensitive than other kinect games.
