Why Is It So Quiet In Here?

Not having one of my best guitar days today, though I played a couple of events anyway. I love the way events work, and I (usually) find them extremely motivating.

Tonight, not so much. Not having a good day, tripping over my fingers on songs I know well, that sort of things. About half-way through the set, the little voice in the back of my brain said, "It sure is quiet in here!" So I look past the notes and everyone is just sort of standing there, with a bit of half-hearted hand waving and expressions like, "Woohoo?" That actually cheered me up, because a real audience would've been more like the Blues Brothers "Rawhide" scene the way I was playing. Very tactful, the RS audience!

I hope that as RS evolves into a more comprehensive tool, this part of the game stays. It's a big part of what brings me back and keeps me motivated.

That sounds like the crowd I had, when I got my surprise master mode encore. I sucked, and they just sorta stood there and stared. LOL!

Yeah, at least they were polite. LOL!
I heard they's a man there pays folks money to sing into a can.

I like it when I've been doing well in a song, but the crowd isn't really noisy. But then I hit a little rough spot, and the crowd cheers to try to get me back in it... it often works. I like that.

It would be great if the women in the audience threw bras and panties on the stage...

    ...maybe the next patch.

That is funny. I wondered if this would happen the first time I got a double encore.

Sometimes I look out and notice there is like one dude in a sea of women. It makes me kind of smile. I wonder if that is how rockers see the crowd.

The crowd really is awesome, though, especially when you nail a solo in some of the larger venues. What a rush.

I like having the crowd, but on one song I was doing terrible...and I mean terrible.

But they cheered louder the worse I got. I'm not really sure what to make of that unless they were actually booing or laughing, it was hard to tell.

They were laughing with you, though! I think it's funny that in the really small venues there's this one dude who always talks and laughs.
