Can anyone, preferably from Ubisoft, give me a definite release date for this please?
Its rare that a game comes along that I 'must have' but this is it! Having spoken to alot of my friends - guitar players and non-players - everyone wants this game and there is a potentially huge market. Please, sort out whatever legal issues you are having and get the game on the market. PLEEEEASE!

I'm guessing the legal issues are resolved if it's up for sale for PS3 on the Amazon.co.uk store as "in stock"

It's the USA version and, besides, it's being sold by a private seller.
Nothing new then, the game has been available as an import in Europe since release.

The official site says that if you import it it won't work on a UK Xbox, the PS3 import will work but you can't get any DLC.

I've heard it's because there's a UK band called Rocksmith. They allegedly offered to let Ubisoft use the name in return for putting one of their songs on the game and Ubi refused and now they're at deadlock which may mean the game won't be released here at all. Surely they can't scrap UK release for something so easily remedied? The sales they'll lose are too great aren't they?

The PS3 version does indeed work on the a UK PS3, and you can get DLC.

Just set up a US PSN account and a US PSN card to add funds to your wallet. The DLC will then work on your normal UK PSN account.

Yes, but apparently they're holding out until the legal case goes through so that they don't have to pay the band anything or give them free promotion.

Surely they wouldn't be able to sell the game in the UK if the legal issues are still standing? I can understand being able to import it from another country (eg USA) but not having a UK business import it and then onsell it. Hopefully that company doesn't get screwed over for selling it.

Looking forward to being able to get DLC without buying US PSN cards when the game comes out in Aus.

Just create a US PSN account and add funds with US PSN card to buy DLC's. They will work on your existing EU/UK/RU PSN account, so US account will only be used to buy DLC.

Im in Japan right now, but runs no problem on US xbox and I can get DLC no problem. I only bought a xbox just so I could play rocksmith. if the PC version ever comes out. I will sell the xbox. It is not looking like they will make a Japanese release of Rocksmith, to bad I would be huge here. If you really want to play the game just pick one up from online and import it yourself.
