Forum titles where lost during the move - part of the migration - and unfortunately we don't have a complete record of them..

However when possible - if we can find out, we do re-instate them

Please make sure to inform your Moderation team, and they can ask for them to be put back

I'm unsure is VERY long ones will stick though.. but we can try

So, there's the official position on titles! And I'm your "Moderation team", who'll ask that the good Professor's title be re-instated.

Just so we're all on the same page,

"Professor Thietris Squirrel, CEO, President and Managing Director, Institution of Advanced Exploration of Myst Worlds"

    is the correct title, right?

Professor, please confirm that's what you want!

Yes, indeed, Heimdall, that is correct! I should point out that the Professor never actually chose to have a title at all, but it was bestowed on him a number of years ago by a moderator, after the Professor happened to mention his position in one of his stories. The exact details are buried in the mysts of time, but I do remember that the Professor almost fell out of his tree when that title suddenly appeared. Several other explorers also subsequently gained titles, so hopefully theirs can also now be restored.

Many thanks to Mr Shade and to Heimdall, and everyone who voted. Acorn mead all round, I think!

Well, that's VERY long and may well not stick, as per MS's comments, below. We'll give it a try, of course.

The title add is now in progress.

But please understand that results will definitely not be instantaneous (mills 'o the gods, ye ken) so be patient!

Congratulations Professor T. on getting your title back in its rightful place. And thanks Heimdall_G and Black_widow9, and any other Admin, for your kind attention to this and getting it done. Acorn Mead all around! Cheers!

    Yay for Thietris!

Now that we've recovered Professor T's title, how about others' titles?

Marae's for instance: Dr. Marae, Professor of D'ni Ethnomusicology and Terpsichore, and Duke, OutStanding in His Field

I don't remember who else had a title, though I'm sure several others are missing theirs.

"How do you know I'm mad?" said Alice.
"You must be," said the Cat, "or you wouldn't have come here."
