I have a GeForce 4, 128MB -card, and I tried the 'X-Isle Tech Demo', and had to run in GeForce2 standards. Why is there no option for GeForce 4 Generation? I couldn't get GeForce3 Generation to load on my 4-card, so I was forced down to GF2 levels. Is this gonna be changed or are all the GF4 users out there just simple fu*ked?

I hope not I bought a GeForce4 Ti4800SE 128Mb not too long ago now and if it is not compatible I am screwed.

But they say that the E3 stuff was done on the same card, so it might be OK.

Seeing how Far Cry/X-isle was originaly created as a playable "Tech-demo"(Kinda like Blood 2) for the Geforce Series i doubt Geforce 4 wont be supported. Might have some problems with other cards though.

Are you sure about that? Was that GF4 Ti or MX? If it was MX (which is most likely in your case), then it's normal since GF4MX don't have some DX8 features like Pixel, Vertex Shader and Environmental Bump-Mapping necessary for running the tech-demo in GF3 mode. The GF3 mode works fine with my GF4 Ti 4400, and I can get all the effects like reflection, env. bump-mapping, Pixel Shaded water and stuffs like that.
