What the majority of PC Gamers want for GRFS! | Forums

Hello, i just wanted to start this out, cuz i think its time for us to show out and tell Ubisoft what we want for the GRFS, personally think they should open a forum (or any kind of feedback) by themselves asking about what the community want in the game, because at the end the community will be paying for the game.
So in my case there are three main topics that the Dev. Team need to know.

1- No DRM, i dont like the idea of locked down my game for some hardware changes/upgrades, in my case i upgrading my pc almost every single year and most of the time i go by CPU, Motherboard and GPU (use different system, ex: steam)
2- No Third Person View (Pc platform are on FPS)
3- and Dedicated Servers (for me its crucial)

Hope the Dev team reading this forum and i encourage you guys to say what you want for the next Ghost.

All I want at this point is some information. I'm glad they finally announced its existence, but some facts would be nice. We don't even have an estimated release date.

in all honesty I have yet to pick faults about this game from what i have seen and heard...

though the thing I think all PC gamers will agree on is Dedicated Servers..... this is a MUST... COD, SM, and many other (good) titles have taken the lazy way out with P2P systems and they just DONT WORK... unless your all playing in the same town.... AND have no firewall issues....


but I dont understand why so many are asking for a First Person View? I can understand in terms of 'immersion' but... honestly I can be immersed well enough in a 3rd person game if the mechanics are right... and this seems to have it in spades. to me 3rd person seems fine. theres no need to change it. you still get your FPS elements when using your sights. so its win win if you ask me

I can compleatly understand that.and I'm sorta impartial to it. I like FPS when they give lots of detail. those little things in movements, like seeing yourself vult over cover like in BF3 THAT sort of FPS I can get into because you actually FEEL like the character tather than some camera stuck on a guys face where his hands always dissapear when you do actions (take COD for example)


having said that though I always like the 3rd person perspective. seeing the character (especially if its your own like in R6V) gives a more cinematic feel to the game in those times I felt more involved in the game.

it is again my own personal opinion and tastes. GRFS seems like the most epic game to be released to date. it seems to have all the elements I want in a game in one. customisation. teamplay, flexibility, all of these things seem to be implimented wonderfully from what I have seen, of course it will be a different thing when I actually play it myself but that will happen in time. if it plays how I have seen it so far. I think it would knock the 'high title' FPS' like COD out of the water... I dont think that would be the case since many just like to mindlesly shoot people in fast paced pop drop action (and I cant blame them for that)

it would be nice to see it like R6V where its FPS till you hit cover or an option to have it as fps or tps but I'd be just as happy without it.

Hmmm...I want Ubisoft to actually spend time and money developing a PC game that we'll talk about for years - not because it was another example of how Ubisoft got everything wrong - but because they finally got it right. That means responsive controls, superior textures and draw-distance, dedicated servers (for the millions of gamers living outside the US/Canda) and constant updates to the software.

With every new release, Ubisoft has the opportunity to prove that they can provide excellent post-release support for their games - and I hope for the people who buy this, that that is the case as it never has been in the past.

Truthfully, I suspected that Ubisoft would pull this stunt - releasing for the PC at a later date allows Ubisoft to have a second release of GRFS - which simply equates to more profit for them. After the SC: Conviction PC saga, I have no faith that the PC port (yes, that's what it will no doubt be, since dedicated platform developing is too "expensive" for Ubisoft) will have any of the features that PC gamers desire. I firmly believe that it is only in the few months between releases that the actual work is performed on the PC platform (*cough* porting *cough*) and that development is not side-by-side as some developers like to claim. The game will likely be hampered by Ubisoft's favourite DRM which will no doubt flop at release, only to be cracked one week later - it's happened before, why should GRFS be any different?

Here's to hoping that Ubisoft change its hard-set mindset on PC Gaming!
