well you should be able to download the beta of windows 7 you will need a dvd to burn the file to and install the os from disk ......yeah i know here we go again ...hey don't blame me i still run xp pro sp3 ...but i'll be giving this a go ..i totaly bypassed vista .. Smash

Were you able to get a copy of windows 7. From what I read it was quite a zoo yesterday getting the program and getting a key.

Well they finally re-opened the download a couple of hours ago, after trying and failing to get the download to start with firefox, I gave up and switched to IE 7 , and it started downloading straight away.
I was getting around 1mbs download speed till it reached 50%, then it hit a brick wall and slowed to between 100kbs and 250kbs.
I hate my erratic connection.....

yes i was able to get a clean compleate download i 'm using it right now in vbox it's been running for about 20 hrs with no major issue's so sunday noght i'll go ahead and reformat my entire system and take it out for a real time test to get a good view of what it'll do and won't do ...lol..i can always "upgrade" to windows xp again ...i'll keep you up to speed ans how sims and games run after a few days ...
