The ubisoft server was probably down when you tried to log in.
Try to log in over the next day or 2 as see what happens.
Also......
Make sure your firewall is not blocking the game.

The UBI servers have been acting crappy since the weekend.
Just keep trying.
Yesterday they went down 4 times between 10pm and 1:30am.
The first couple of times for only a minute or two. The 3rd for 15 minutes or so, we spent those on ventrilo chatting. at about 1:30 am
they went down again and I quit for the night.
UBI better fix this problem because it's becoming worse lately.

Ok so when they come online again?

Hey chybayoo.
The servers are usually only down for a few minutes to a few hours, so if you still aren't able to login, it is likely a problem on your end.
Your user name would be the same as the one you use here, so that is vaild or you wouldn't be able to post.
Usually, if you enter your key wrong or have an invalid key, it would be rejected with a message of an invalid key.
If the game excepts all of the above, then you probably have some settings somewhere that need to be changed.
Make sure you aren't being blocked by your anit-virus or another software.
Also, check to see if Windows firewall is not blocking your connection.
In control panel, security center, Windows firewall, exceptions .. make sure Vegas 2 is there and checked.
I guess it could also be a problem with security settings with your ISP, although that wouldn't be normal.
Keep trying until you find something that works.
