Hi, I really enjoyed playing mission:Single Missions/Germany Luftwaffe/Bf-109/Bf-109 N1 with IL-2 1946. I decided to make a movie of it and post it on youtube. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0EL9bVCI4ig
I used old camera effects to try and create an effect of original film footage.
Does anybody know of software to preprogram mouse movement so I can do really smooth camera movements? Any feedback on my video is welcome!
Thanks, TheVPilot

Not sure why you would need a program for mouse movements as there seemed to be none.
For camera movements you need to go to an IL-2 1946 version before 4.10m patch. Camera Mod does not work on any official or unofficial modded IL2 1946 game patched to 4.10m or 4.10.1m
For use with camera movements in any version, try joy 2 mouse program as it allows you to control your mouse with a joystick, allows for smoother movements.
Two things for a more realistic feel:
ONE: kill the messages. Power 45% and Aircraft Destroyed is distracting. Here is the post i made for how to get rid of all event and chat messages http://forums.ubi.com/eve/foru...5710358/m/7931032828
TWO: with such a wide screen do some cropping. Your screen ratio is 7 by 3, it is actually more widescreen then a 16 by 9 ratio. By cropping it to 16:9 ratio, you can get the aircrafy off the dead center of the screen (which is considered in most cases as bad composition in photography circles)

Wailwulf, thanks for your feedback.
I did not use any mouse movements, as since I could not do them smoothly, preferred not to do them at all. Will follow your advice and try out the joy2mouse.
Looked at your video to remove the text messages, which I will certainly do in future as well. As for the aspect ratio, I kind of like the 2.35 AR. Reminds me of the movie theater format. I realize this is just my personal preference. My projection screen in my home theater is also of the 2.35 AR, so when I project it, fills the whole screen. Works great with movies at 2.35. When projecting material at 16/9, I have 2 black bands left and right of course. Appreciate the tip on photographic composition which I will keep in mind. Thanks again for having taken the time to write some comments!

As Wailwulf said, having your main actor (aircraft) fixed dead-center at all times is a huge weakness in movies, specifically Flight Sim movies. Have you watched any/several/most of the Movies at the Flight Sim Movies website? I recommend you do so and that you note the variety in cinematography and direction...camera angles, movement, directional continuity, etc. Also note editing, shot transition techniques, shot duration, etc.
Never manually pan with mouse...it can never be done smoothly. TIR works better, but there are otehr techniques to moving view/camera. Your old film filters worked pretty well.
Finally, a good movie has to have a story of some sort, however basic. "Take-off, fly, fight, return to base" does not constitute an engaging story.
Flight Sim movie-making is a great hobby, with a fairly steep learning curve. Keep working at it...I look forward to seeing your next movie. Good Luck.

RE: old film
The sepia effect looks nice, but I think it looks wrong in movies. While it's great to reproduce an old photographic print ; cine film does not age the same.
Of course the 2.35 format was not used till 1953 with the advent of "Cinemascope" and Paramounts "VistaVision 1.85:1 - often cropped to 1.66:1. Prior to that 1.33 (early silent movies and I believe later some newsreels) and 1.37(Academy ratio) would have been the norm.
