This has got to be one of the most enjoyable turn based combat games I have ever played. It has an offense and defense linking system that allows your teammates to help each other out. I've been having a blast with this one. So far I have liked it more that Front Mission 3. To bad I have to wade through the supposed story line to get to the battles.

My friend loves the Front Mission series as well, to the point of declaring FM3 one of his favorite games. Both he and I are disappointed that such a well-conceived game of pure strategy is on the console I haven't got and without any multiplayer component.

Speaking of mecha strategy, the RTS game Ring of Red is a blast to play, switching every other battle with a buddy. Charming concept and aesthetics, very original gameplay.

If only there was something similiar to these on Xbox.

There is something called future tactics but that wasn't really very good if I recall.

There is an RTS game that was very simple but enjoyable for a few hours: Goblin Commander.

Indeed, and if you talk to certain people, that's part of the reason why Microsoft could release XB2, be unchallenged by a technologically level competing unit for a year, and still get clocked by Sony and Nintendo when they ante.
