It's the AC disc, so... yeah.

Xanatos, what’s the third one from the top? The one with a curved blade?
It vaguely resembles an Iberian falcata.

The black one? It's a "Ninja scimitar", basically a really good machete. My favourite one though is the little black dagger at the bottom, it's a Smith & Wesson HRT9B. Wasn't easy to get a hold of either...

    OK.

    My turn.

I've trained for re-enactment swordfighting properly for just over a year, and had a lot of fights with friends since.

I have my training sword, which is an extremely heavy one-handed metal sword, blunt and safe for use on someone wearing armour (even just leather armour) if you control your strikes. I also have a European-style wooden practice sword, which is lighter, and safer, also one-handed, but the pommel broke off a couple of times, and I can't fix it again.

I also have a pair of Kodachi (Japanese main-hand shortswords), A pair of Bokken, one made from Japanese Oak by a professional swordsmith, and one made in Taiwan, a foam-padded Bokken, and a foam-padded straight bladed sword which claims to be a Katana based on the hilt design.

Then, for fighting my flatmate who uses a 6' Bo staff, I have a 3' Hanbo which I pair with my Japanese Bokken.

I have three knives too. One for magic work, one for bloodletting (safer than biting, but less fun), and one for if I need something to defend myself with. The bloodletting knife is very sharp, it's Titanium 440 Steel and made by Smith and Wesson. The one I'd use in a fight is a crescent shape with two blades, forward-curving. It looks gorgeous and vicious.

I'll get pics when I can get my flatmate to take them.

I got into a few swordfights with my brother as well, broke the handles off the two blades on the right-hand side.

@Oblivion: Pretty cool! Can't wait for those pictures!
A vid of a fight would be awsome too...

@Xanatos (and the rest of the fighters): I don’t have any swords, but would you mind if I posted a picture of that Iberian falcata I was talking about?

Falcata... isn't that kind of like a kukuri?

Looks like this. Some say its origins are from ancient Greek Machiara, other from the ancient Egyptian Kopesh, some say it’s been around for longer than that.

Yeah, it looks kind of like a kukuri...

Except longer and more suited for combat. The kukuri is an African weapon, so I see why it may have originated from Egypt. The falcata looks like the Spartan sword from 300.

Exactly. The Spartan hoplite sword is the Machiara.

Can you tell me what kind of sword is Altair’s short blade?
