    Whem I start a mission in IL-2 Sturmovik 1946 with several JPN planes the gun sight topples to the left.Why is this? What is this gun sight for?
    How can I get it back?

    It's an emergency backup only used in the event that the reflector sight is damaged. If the damage model is working correctly, when your reflector sight is damage it automatically comes up.

    On at least one aircraft type the damage model wasn't working correctly, don't know if it was ever fixed. I think it was the Zeros that had the problem and if I remember it right the damaged model or texture for the reflector sight was missing. The result was the reserve gunsight would come up when the reflector sight did not appear to be damaged, even though it had been hit.
