Since I only really care to play with one friend of mine I was wondering if anyone has used and had any luck with Hamachi for a virtual private network to load a LAN game?

He and I have been trying everything I've found on these forums to connect to each other. Every single day after the release we've been trying to connect to each other hoping it's just the servers (since that's the error we always get when trying to connect).

I assume just like any other game, when we joing a VPN via Hamachi we don't need to open any ports or change any router settings.

What I wouldn't give for a dev console with "connect IP" commands. I hate how the gaming industry is porting games originally written for consoles and dumbing down games to appeal to all ages.
