you will need an emulator called dosbox
Can you explain this a little more to someone who is somewhat technically challenged. (Me!)

I've played SH1 on XP for quite awhile and though I've never used the dosbox app I know it works quite well.

It's what I used to install my Commanders Edition on the computer I have at the moment, I had no problems, and it works just fine.
