There are a handful of in-game features that many seem to not know how they work, including myself (and not just the basics, but the exact details of each feature)

    1) Stealth on Riflemen
    2) Ranking system

Please add to the list. I don't have time right now to think it all out. I'll edit later.

well, i can explain riflemen stealth for you. basically, units with stealth dont show up on your mini-map when they move into visual range of one of your units. (for example, you see tanks rolling towards you on the horizon from your gunship camera, eventually the red icon representing your enemy will show up, and you will see him on your mini-map and you can target that unit with stuff like artillery and air strikes)

this does not happen to riflemen in stealth. they still show up visually on your main screen as people running, but you cannot target them until you get REALLY close with one of your units, or they fire on you. (you can try this in single-player. purchase stealth and deepstrike for your riflemen, drop them near your opponents LZ and run into a building quickly. gunships will fly right over you. you can attack the gunships and they will turn around and shoot at you, but if you stop attacking they will "lose you" again and start to fly away.) THIS CONCLUDES THE LESSON ON STEALTH!
Sig - What's the point? Who reads these things anyways?!?!?

ranks are based on unit promotions and upgrades that you have bought. Once you have all the upgrades bought, you'll be rank 12, which is the highest you can go.

Ok, I really don't mean offense at this, but I meant specifics on these features. I know *what* stealth does, but I want to know When, How, How long, Why? What situations determine stealth to be activated, and which determine it to be deactivated or to not activate at all. What determines stealth to stay on for extended periods of time, while multiple units are looking at the stealthed rifleman. Things like that.

Thanks for the info on the player rank, but how about the unit rank. Any specific details? Not a general idea, but specific details on how units rank? How do they gain xp and how much for doing said action?

Stealth is passive, meaning it is always on - you do not trigger it.

Here is a great example from a game I played.

I had a unit of Riflemen, running from a gunship that was trying to hunt them down... I ran them into some woods, because it is passive and the gunship's player would have been tracking them visually and not by telling the gunship to attack them - once they entered the woods the gunship lost track of them completely.

    I hope that helps.

when riflemen go into cover, unless a unit is right on top of them, the icon wont show up.
