It will be just another debacle like what happened when a 3rd party started Pacific Fighters and dropped the ball.

    I dont think so.

It seems that they have some great art direction and some outstanding modelers and texture artist's. The PF crew was at best a motley crew. And yes, I was one of those motley crews.

A product is only as good as its leadership. PF had no leadership.

Thos product has promis, be sure!

These guys seem more like a professional development team with a very serious direction. They are reworking some of the game engine components (terrain, etc.) so I suspect they have a little more talent going for them.

That and they don't have to specifically build ontop of the IL-2 legacy persay. They are doing a different era and a different war.

It's Gennadich and the Flying Barons. Not only will they pull it off, it'll be outstanding...

Like them. Finest group of folks in this community, IMHO. Undisputably, the best air-to-air combat flying group in IL2. Looking at what they've done so far with models and skins, I'll predict this will be the sim of 06.

By the way, did I say "Server Commander" rules? Well it does, for me. Incredible piece of software.

    S~ Gennadich and FB.

Good luck, although I'm sure you don't need it.

I hope they get it done, for someone who cut his teeth on the orignal Red Baron back in 1993, a state of the art WWI sim would be a dream come true. Now if George Lucas would just authorize someone to make a nex gen X-Wing...

Well, we wont be begging for the "Slot". just put some trenches in any map and you have WW1. This sim will be a keeper. I cant wait for it to come out.
