Missing Buddies Question | Forums

I'm on the first map, just after the mission where I have to rescue my best buddy after they derail the train.

Originally I rescued all the buddies for the area, but then I learned that Mikes Bar only holds 4 buddies at a time, so far I've managed to work it to where I've done all my best buddy side missions, my rescue ready buddies missions (by having someone else as rescue ready temp, and I just finished both of the other 3 buddies 2 side missions.

Then I set off to rescue 6th buddy from the rooster fights area. I got in, found him fine, he said we should split up and meet at Mikes bar just like normal. I headed directly to mikes bar like I did when i just rounded everyone up (before i knew about the only 4 ppl in mikes at a time) expecting him to instantly be there, like before. Only this time, all the same buddies are still there, the new guy (Josip) is on my buddy list, but not in the bar knocking the Michelle out of the place like he did the first time since she was the last rescued.

I've tried sitting outside the mikes bar area (this would work after about 6-10 seconds to get a new buddy side mission to pop after I'd done one, I tried taking a bus and then tried sleeping 12 hours in a safehouse. Still now ! icon at mikes bar indicating a new mission (and therefore new buddy present.

Has anyone else encountered this and resolved the issue, or know what might have caused it so I can load an old save and try and rescue him again if I have to?

The only way I've ever been able to do all 12 Buddy/Bar missions in the North map (and all in the South map for that matter) is after a main mission when you have to go help your Best Buddy is to kill them if they aren't dead already (do their 2 bar missions 1st obviously). Your Rescue Buddy then becomes your Best Buddy. You may have to kill them too, but at least you get to do all the bar missions. Besides, why not? They all come back from the dead and try to kill you in the end.

I was trying to avoid having to kill one of them, (because I want Marty to be my rescue buddy and killing my best would make him my best.

Also, thanks for the spoiler, just got the game and haven't had a chance to play all the way through.

Sorry I "spoiled" your fun. Given that you have been a member since 2005, I assumed you knew the outcome. Silly me! You asked, I gave you a solution.
