Pasting replies into the reply window is a good way to get this error, and I don't know if much can be done to resove it. For some reason, UBB.x doesn't realize that pasted characters should count toward the total character count of a message (which is 20 characters apparently).

If you're getting this error and you *aren't* pasting responses into the reply window, email or Prvate Topic Roac. His contact information is somewhere in the Complaints and Issues thread.
