I think all our *****ing about the singleplayer story, the combat chain and the little variety in the factions have finally paid off. Hopefully, as a community, we can be more involved than last time.
BTR, with them fleshing out the story a bit more, they could add a better reason for them to be enemies, and take Russia away from the generic.

And I suppose that they could fix the original's cankersore storyline, would like to see an in depth view on why each group hates each other.

I really wouldnt mind if they kind of "rebooted" the Endwar storyline, as long as it makes for a deeper experience.
