Get missing dll file error | Forums

Hi..
When i try to launch Farcry i get an error with a missing dll file.(Translation from norwegian)"The library for dynamic connections MSVCR71.dll wasnt found"

_HW
2800 barton
512 pc2700 DDR (sux.. i know)
FX5900U Gainward 256mb _56.64 driver
Win 2k pro

and one off topic question:
Why doesnt UBI host its own patches and files?
Its almost as if you are trying to save money by cutting off the cust.support and recently shipping out buggy releases..

MSVCR71.dll is a Microsoft C Runtime Library. A quick search of my PC threw this dll up twice (once in "windows\system32", and once in the folder of another game)

As it's a standard Windows dll you can download it from www.dll-files.com - and putting it into your "windows\system32" folder should hopefully solve the problem, assuming that no other dll's are also missing.

(If you're using Win2000, then the folder should be "winnt\system32")
