Some one have any idea how run Launcher? I cheek ineternet connections when runing luncher and this crap don't even try connect with master server. Just show me this error "An internet connection is required to play rhis game. Failed to connect to the Ubisoft master servers. Please verify that yout internet connection is functional and try again."

I spend 35e for nothing. I never have problems whit Ubisift games but now..... you don't wan't now, what i'm thinking about Ubi. Thanks Ubisoft for BIG disappointment :/

I got this game yesterday and was able to play it fine for almost four hours except when my internet connection went down for a few minutes and the game paused.

Today though, the Game Launcher updated to version 0110 but I've had the game quit from resuming my save game three times, all within one minute of starting (at least I'm not losing any progress). The internet connection is live and there is no error message box nor is there anything in the Event Log to suggest it's a game crash (probably because it isn't). I can see the Game Launcher close a few seconds after the game returns to the desktop with a message that normally appears when you quit the game manually (something about Game Launcher is closing down, etc., etc.).

Now pausing for a few minutes I can live with... just... but these full-on quits to the desktop are annoying as it means I'm unable to play the game. I'm all for DRM schemes that prevent piracy but I'm starting to think that this new always-online system is going to end up annoying a lot of UbiSoft's customer base.

What ports should I unlock to connect master servers?

When I choose story mode I get a "conecting" screen that will be there of an infinite amount of time.The only thing I can do is exit to windows.Please help me!

I'm having the same problem as Bavarius above, my internet is working perfectly fine but I still get this error upon launch:
"An internet connection is required to play this game. Failed to connect to the Ubisoft Master servers. Please verify that your internet connection is functional and try again."
This is totally unacceptable, I bought the game from a high-street shop paying more than cheaper on-line stores because I wanted to play it immediately, and I can't even get into the game?? I'm outraged, this is the last time I will ever buy a Ubisoft game if they keep treating paying customers like fools!

There is already a TWO PAGE THREAD for this very same thing on the FIRST PAGE of this same forum. Please use existing threads wherever possible.

This gives all the complaints from every user a COMMON VOICE whereas counting communications across multiple threads it is difficult to ascertain the strength of the dissatisfaction.

So it will help all of us if anybody with a future complaint of this nature uses this thread.

This fix is for the Launcher Just dropping out when it is apparently halfway through some kind of launcher update. A Glitch that some people are experiencing which just stops an AC2 launch dead in it's tracks.

Anyway if you are having the launcher just dropping out problem. Here is the fix that worked for me.

In your Ubisoft/Ubisoft Game Launcher folder there is a simple text file called version.txt open that file in notepad and take a look. Chances are that it will say 0104 or some number like that.
Change the number to 0109 which seems to be the latest version available.

Save the newly altered version.txt file.

Open your Assassin's CreedII folder and launch one of the Assassin's CreedII .exe files there.

(You are good to go)

Bob's your Uncle this should fix that issue.

(Now if it works for a while but happens to do it again at some point in the future like it did with me just today. Follow the same steps and increase the value of the version number in the version.txt file by 1 " e.g. I had to increase mine from 0109 to 0110 ")

Frankly I don't even know how or why it works, but I am not looking a gift horse in the mouth here. So I am just rolling with what is working for now.

Note: This was my personal solution worked out by pretty much a large amount of general observation and guesswork.
