Hi again. We all understand that this game had to hit the stores just before Easter no matter what. And it did. And although itâ´s been almost a week from release, game itâ´s not working as it should! Patch 1.1 did solve some issues but itâ´s surely not enough. And we see no sign of improvement (Patch 1.2) too!! I hope the devs didnâ´t went on vacation right after release hoping that the already announced SH4 will be better. We all payed some 40â"š¬/$ but not all of us enjoy this game. Why bother after all, when I stay 3-4 hours in front of my pc to shoot 5 ships in a single campaign mission just to find out the other day that thereâ´s no savegame! In fact, the savegames are intact in their folder, this game just doesnâ´t recognizes them!! To be honest, although I loved the game, itâ´s the first time that I buy a game and instead playing with it I spend my time in the Forum trying to figure out how could it ever work!! Does anybody knows at least how to reinstall the savegames?? I made a backup and replaced the files but when I went to Basis, although in my Logbuch my kills were noted, in the overall status I was without a single hit!!!! Please, at last devs, DO SOMETHING!!! Thanks in advance.

You should give the devs more time.

The game just barely came out. We should feel lucky we got the first patch so quickly.

Asking for a second patch NOW when the game has been out for about a week is somewhat ridiculous. Give it a little time.

Btw, the save game feature has worked fine in my careers so far. Not sure why it doesn't work for some people.

Ditto. I was quite surprised to see that they'd come out with the first patch within a few days of game release. Two in one week is asking a bit much. While I agree that some of the more universal problems should have been found and fixed before release (such as stating in the manual that being rammed by a destroyer will result in the destroyer winning when in fact the opposite is true), most of the problems being mentioned on the board are sporadic and confined to a few players (such as the rain bug and the saved game problem). Give it some time. Most games wait months for even the first patch.

I just noticed in-game that my total number of ships and tonnage is not shown on my load saved game page but all my sinkings/tonnage, etc.. is shown in my patrol history papers. This is fine with me. The load saved game page is somewhat inconsequential with regards to my patrol figures. As long as my patrol information is shown in-game on my history page (located on the desk) then I am ok with it.

Ive also got problem that when i return to port after a mission it says 0 ship sunk etc but the overall tonnage is shown. Quite annoying coz if i dont get recorded for my kills i think i will lose some benefit i could use while in port.

Hope for a fix

I'm having the same problem with saved games. I'm on my 2nd patrol right now but when I try to load saves it only shows files from my first patrol.

Granted! Two patches within a week are too much. But the need of two patches within a week is ridiculous too. The game should be ready BEFORE it hitted the stores with no need of patches, except maybe of minor issues. Instead, I think that this game looks more as a Beta than an end product.I donâ´t need patches as long as the game is functioning but this game just DONâ´T want to work! And instead of giving us some solution, in the German SH3 site, they show ads of model U-boots. Does that means that we should spend our time in modeling till the game developing is over???

I'd just like to know: 1, that they're actually working on a second patch (and that more patches are in the works because let's face it, it's a brilliant game but it has issues galore); and 2, I'd like to know what's scheduled to be addressed by the second patch.

Hum. 2 patches in a week is too much but 50 â"š¬ for a CTD/30 minutes is too much too I think...


I rekon this game is very very addictive but I can only sail about 1 hour / a day (i'm very busy at work...) and having random CTD's each time is very frustrating... And don't say me that my hardware is the cause of the problem as I can play FS2004 or other games without any bug...

So asking for a second patch is not unrealistic in my case it would just allow me to play a game i pay 50 â"š¬ for

Ok, I've run this game on 10 different systems in the past week, ranging from ones that are under minimum specs to one thats runs the game at a constant 90 FPS with full FSAA and full AF. The game has never shown a sign of instability with the exception that it has a progressivley larger footprint in the RAM (expands at about 4 megs an hour). So why is it that the hardware I have tested which ranges from dated to state of the art has not experienced a single stability problem, while half the people on here complain about CTDs every few minutes?
