Its not like Ubisoft is going to put out any new stuff for the game. No patches and no more DLC because they didn't ship anything more with the disks. We know they will not support the game.

Do the devs ENJOY reading people whine about how parts of the game don't work? Do they enjoy hearing about lost tokens, glitches, stupid bugs that should have been fixed in ALPHA testing?

Or is it just that it would cost more money to close down the forum than it does to keep it up? My bet is on that actually. We know exactly how much Ubisoft actually cares about their customers. Somewhere between year old dried cat urine and flash frozen monkey feces.

True, it seems like nothing happens here except a lot of fighting and unanswered questions. I especially agree with your statement that Ubi doesn't care about its customers. A lot of people who post questions here are directed to Ubi support, but the people usually come back saying Ubi support didn't help or even message them back. I would like to take this opportunity to show people how a good support staff helps people. The following was a question from a future DCS player and the answer he received from support.

<BLOCKQUOTE class="ip-ubbcode-quote"><div class="ip-ubbcode-quote-title">quote:</div><div class="ip-ubbcode-quote-content"> I'll try not to be long winded. I have not had a sim for about 10 years, wife and kids- you get the picture. About 6 weeks ago I decided to see what was out there and WOW! I came across DCS A10C. Watched all of the videos, got on the forum, and tried to read as much as possible before asking a lot of uneducated questions.

I am going to build a PC to run this simulation. Never done that before, but what I've seen certainly justifies it. Recently bought TM WH and just ordered Saitek combat rudder pedals. Would like to run triple monitors with eyefinity.

Here are the system specs I would like to use:

    MSI P67A-GD65 S1155
    Intel Ci5 2500K 3.3 Ghz
    8gigs 1600 Mhz dual g2
    MSI R6970 2GB DDR5
    Corsair 600T case

    Question 1:

Is this a good system to run your simulator? Please suggest any changes if neccessary.

    Question 2:

Stutters,micro-stutters? Is this being addressed in an upcoming patch? I've read that Beta 4 did not have these issues. Many users reported that B4 ran fine. It wasn't until the final release that this started happening. Should I be concerned with this using the above hardware.

I am hesitant to spend $2K+ on a new system until I know for sure what is going on. On the other hand I want to support what you guys are doing and I understand it takes a little time to get things running perfectly.

Thanks for any help and keep up the great work.
    </div></BLOCKQUOTE>

Now here is the response from support.
<BLOCKQUOTE class="ip-ubbcode-quote"><div class="ip-ubbcode-quote-title">quote:</div><div class="ip-ubbcode-quote-content"> Motherboard and CPU chosen are very good.
Corsair 600T case has no power supply unit. I suggest to avoid cheap solutions, look for 600W and higher, they are assembled noticeably better.
And it's rather expensive for a medium level product. There is nothing special with cases, so you can save some money here. Just make sure its edges are smooth to the touch and it has big fans with grating on the back and in the front.
    Regarding MSI R6970 2GB DDR5.
AMD/ATI put cheats into their graphics drivers which require deep changes in the graphics engine of the application. Otherwise there are severe glitches and other artifacts. In the version of drivers 11.1 they have hidden very important settings in the GUI thus forcing users to edit xml files directly. These settings allow to run old games on new drivers. While it's still possible to have correct picture in DCS Warthog with drivers 11.1, I don't know what will be in the future, since tendencies are to serve big auditory ignoring the others.
AMD/ATI graphics solutions fit best casual game market where graphics engines emerge very quickly. The size of casual game market allows big companies to rebuild noticeable parts of their graphics engines very often. But in the study-grade simulators is another situation.
In sum, I don't recommend AMD/ATI graphics solutions for titles build on old graphics engines like ours. Although we have tweaked and improved our graphics engine greatly to meet most of modern standards, as I told in the beginning, the changes necessary for correct work with the latest graphics drivers fr om AMD/ATI are too big.
There is no Nvidia solution in replacement for eyefinity. But there is a good third party solution: Matrox TrippleHead2Go. We did test it and confirm, it works fine with our modern titles.
Don't forget to install 64bit version of Windows.
You can reallocate you money just keeping in mind, the bottle neck of all our titles is CPU and 4GB of RAM and 1GB of VRAM is enough for Warthog now (it's very easy to increase the RAM amount). I cannot tell anything definite about the next our project. For sure I can tell only that CPU requirements will increase as usually.
We do work on stutters. Upcoming patch 1.1.0.7 will address several causes of them. But I'm still not sure whether stutters above huge cities and airports will gone away completely. Wh ere people mean performance (FPS) loss by micro-stutters, be sure the CPU you have chosen will smooth it out for you.
Good luck with your new computer!
    </div></BLOCKQUOTE>

I'm sure you can all see that the support staff there is great, and contrasts the support we get here. I also find the first post of that topic on DCS forums funny, since we are discussing the very thing right now. Check it out is you'd like : http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=70906

Ye this is what a call a quality support not only for answer but also the details you can see that they know what they are talking about the cons and prons of everything. These guys would take 20 on a 0 to 20 scale and Ubisoft 5 and I'm just being nice.

Well, we all KNOW what Ubisoft cares about and its not their customers.

5 out of 20... really? Wow, you ARE nice... They are the only game publisher I have ever encountered that might have a -5 in a 0-20 rating list.

    Hi,

I agree with all posts, main problem is bad management from the top down. The CEO is an investor; he does not have an interest for games.

It was an investment for $$$$$$ returns.

The big problem with corporate growth is the loss of focus which becomes greed, by not surveying their customer base as this non-forum could have been used for; they lose touch with audience they supply products and services to.

Even under current economic times gaming is increasing why, because people go out less, eat in more and travel less.

So what you see is opportunities for companies to sell and merge getting a bigger share of market. Every month all that is read is monthly sales targets! Not our posts!

This is exactly where UBISOFT is, I read this in an article on internet. UBISOFT is expanding, but the flaw they have is loosing their customers by not listening and taking remedial action.

They have $$$$$$$$$$$ over their eyes. JUST BUSINESS as usual.

My opinion is, you grow so much only to fall hard. (ENRON - Good example)

Their business model is wrong it’s to compartmentalized and budget driven, hence "Hawx Team". Their customer complaint channel is so bad; they fail to see their market and audience especially regarding "Flight / Aerial Combat Simulation / Arcade Games". It is simply poorly managed and poorly understood. Really they should visit Air Force Shows and determine how big their customer base is on a global scale.

Although they will say all sorts of things through their support channel but it’s a poor sign of policies and legalities off track, to much red tape, business jargon and the failure of missing the market they sell to.

Question? What is a business? A business is, to put to market services and products to a customer base (Audience) that has needs and wants, to make profit! That’s the correct order of a business.

A business should manage itself by integrity not by profit margins.

Question? When is enough, enough? For some they have been infected by a virus called "Mo-money" it spreads like cancer.

Let me put it another way "It’s keeping The CIRCLE ROLLING"! Not growing empires! Empires fall! Check History!

    UBISOFT has become too corporate!

Question: What makes a business? Your Customer base and the audience you market to!

But if you don't listen or care only one way this will end "Crash N Burn", as previously explained.

I will every month send letters to complain to UBISOFT since I purchased a game that cost me $100.00 AUD that is barely usable due to connection issues, and game poorly developed, compared to similar product lines in the market like ( Ace Combat7, Free Falcon 5.5.5 etc)

This is my method of protest!

Fight, Fight, Fight it’s our dollars in this greedy world we live in. That’s what really upsets me "Greed and Injustice of all kinds", as people we create the world we live in!

    UBISOFT WARNING!

When you see UBISOFT employees protesting for their jobs and the doors shut, no payouts no benefits, thats when I know their greedy empire is finished. Its coming!

People are not only led, but they also follow.

If its a bad tree its a bad fruit also.

My point is, that all that work just to (S.M.S.) "Save-My-Skin" work ethic are just as much to blame as the greedy CEO's of the west.

When the empire is flattened then we the customers will sing with praise!

When it was so simple "Integrity"!

Why? Why cant UBISOFT address the complaints in forum make the necessary changes to please their market base and forum posts! Or least recognise "Us" your customers with an accountable response, that something is in the works! Poor business represents poor character!

Tisss! Not Good! BAD, BAD, BAD.

I received a notification email over a year ago to post ideas for HAWX 2 don't know why or who posted it. It was just signed off as, From UBISOFT. Well, were my ideas supported or actioned, No! - Joke!

A mockery of something that could have been so good. You loose big time, we will just move on eventually! I want to stay a while and mock back, since you give us no other option. I would like my money back, thank you I could have filled up my cars petrol tank with the cost of game $100.00 AUD. What really upsets me are that some of these posts come from kids 15 years or so,I also have kids and never had any serious issue with games that I have bought them, you rip off merchants. Choke on your dollars. a few years ago I bought kids "Spider Man" game a 2 DVD set game with so much detail and options never had problems. Hawx a more adult interest absolute rubbish, waste. still want my money back!

I might add, there is no one playing HAWX2 online, everytime I try, once I get a strong connection, no ones there, due to the connection issues and poor game. Hint of things to come! This is not whining, but a valid complaint. Your customers are all gone! HAWX in the BIN!

The forums are here for the community to use - as long as they follow the rules, they are free to use them for what ever they wish..

It also gives the Dev team a way of feeding back info..

Feedback and suggestions posted here, are never guaranteed to make it into the game, or future games, however it allows a space for people to discuss the game and give that feedback [both good points and bad] - which can be used as seen fit by the dev team.

It also allows for players to chat about the game in general, or make suggestions for the next title.

Ok, good to know we have a place to vent, where no one will listen to us until and unless we badmouth the wrong person.

Maybe the Devs actually DO read this stuff. If so, I am sure that a whole lot of them involved in HAWX 2 are laughing their socks off right now...

"WE GOT YOUR MONEY! WE DON'T HAVE TO DO A DARN THING NOW! WE GOT YOUR MONEY! WE GOT YOUR MONEY! YAY!"

Oh well, don't expect to get any more of mine. And don't expect me to tell ANY of my fellow gamers that the game doesn't suck. Because it does. And as for the next title in the franchise? Is that a JOKE?

After the abysmal showing of what you did with this game do you expect ANYONE with a BRAIN to buy a sequel? Maybe if it is free DLC... Maybe...

And Ubi giving out information... THAT is a joke. You actually made me laugh at that, Mr. Shade. Well done. I haven't laughed at ANYTHING that anyone from Ubi has said recently. Nicely done.
