Thread: Why would you play this when... | Forums

  1. #1
Batman Arkham Asylum is superior in every single way, it`s already one step ahead using the quickened pace that stealth games have been crying out for, along with the combination of incredible lvl design.
Ubisoft have tried to incorporate something very similar into SC:C, it doesn`t quite work. It`s like the producers have played Batman and said to each other ****** the bar has just been raised for stealth games guys.
SS:C really has nothing going for it, only for the die hard fans who share some sort of affinity with Sam Fisher, bottom line is this,

    1) Levels are way too short.

    2) Level design is uninspiring with no real use of imagination that should allow for differing approaches to situations (and be fun).

    3) The AI is very poor, from the repetative threats to the limited seek routines.

    4) The game is far too short 5-8 hours, unacceptable.

    5) Graphically poor. (50 inch LCD Panna full HD 1080p)

    6) The story is solid, but predictable.

    7) It`ll take a huge chunk of change from your pocket, bf you without the common courtesy of a reach around, unless the weak multiplayer on show here takes your fancy.

All in all, this is a very weak game...and if you haven`t picked up BM:AA go grab it today.
If you have, then as Obi-Wan might say "Move along, move along, there`s nothing to see here".

You're entitled to your opinion. Some will disagree. Let people play what they like. You play what you enjoy. Everyone is happy.

Completed Batman AA twice. Great game. Still getting this.

Not really educating people so much as giving your opinion.

From what I have been reading the game is a critical triumph, if nothing else. Everyone is praising the storytelling, etc.

So take that for what you will. And comparing it to Batman AA is like apples and oranges. One is more grounded in fantasy, the other pragmatic reality. It's the same reason I do not compare Splinter Cell to Metal Gear Solid, though i enjoy both franchises.

You can't compare Dinosaurs to Spot Cream
You can't compare Starcraft to Call of Duty
You can't compare Batman to Sam Fisher

The only thing they have in common is stealth, they are totally different games made by different people, different places, different technology with different aims.

Does Batman have a multiplayer co-op? Apart from the Singleplayer all you got was repetitive challenges that proved to be a money-making scheme for DLC.

Batman is a souped up dude, with a cape, with a batmobile with a friggen boom-a-rang.

Fishers is a secret agent with a backpack, with a silenced pistol with a friggen laser sight.

PLEASE don't compare games especially when the only trait that both have is stealth and nothing else in my opinion.

THIS is my OPINION please feel free to correct me, make statements etc, just throughing my thoughts out there, this is not a flame in anyway just a rant.

    [/RANT]

The game plays out very much like a weak BM:AA that`s why I compared...an opinion is me just expressing that I don`t like the game ...I`m stating facts, therefore I`m educating. ged it..

Arkham Asylum as only 8 hours aswell.

The level designs sucked in Arkham Asylum.

Arkham Asylum's story sucked and was cliché.
"Joker escaped, get him the **** back"
The AI in Arkham Asylum was just NPC's walking around, not thinking at all. Graphics weren't really that good either in Arkham Asylum. Arkham Asylum was one huge level, so you can't compare it.

    See you later.
It has come to my attention, that many people on this forum are making the same mistakes over and over.
Asking the same questions, making the same assumptions and posing with the same issues as when ConViction was in development.

We need to draw from our past experiences. Only then, can we evolve as a community to something greater and more beneficial. Both for ourselves and this franchise.
