Character Selection and/or Co-op for Story Mode would be great Downloadable Content | Forums

yeah it woulda been so cool, even if it would require system link or online to play story mode with 2 other friends, it would still be fun exploring the world together and taking turns fighting enemies. Yeah co-op would enhance the fun in many ways cause players are playing and hanging out as a team and the story mode has larger worlds than the versus mode which is just simply fighting and nothing else.

or at least a code/cheat that lets you use any playable character from the versus mode and use them instead of Naruto in the story mode.

I think more variety could lead to more fun and replayability for the story mode, even if it contradicts the original story.

I'm liking this game's style but I think they could go further and deeper with the replay options beyond just versus modes. yeah I know splitscreen would be too hard, so that's why system link and online co-op would be better. And there are many ways to make traveling between zones smooth even with a bunch of people, but of course with something like co-op for this game, it could work with players using a different character and they can freely explore the area they are in, and move to another area they could transition to the next area as a group.

And when it comes to battles, the team would simply choose who will fight the enemy first since the combat in this game is 1 on 1 based, which is fine.

But yeah the case is that this game won't have co-op but who knows, maybe it might include secret codes to substitute Naruto with any of the other characters, at least for the travel/exploration areas. I seen a few rare games offer that neat trick. And it does provide a refreshing degree of variety and replay value using different characters you like. It could also be an awesome reward for beating the story mode the first time through and wanting to play again using a different character.

but yeah, if neither of those features are included....then I wonder if they will make a direct sequel to Rise of a Ninja for Xbox360. and mayb then they'll add stuff like co-op, being able to use anyone you want through unlocking or button codes, and more.

oh yeah who knows maybe they will provide Downloadable Content that like adds an option/feature to use any of the playable versus characters as the main character in story mode. like they could call it What If mode or something, even if it just substitutes Naruto's model for a different character, it would be pretty funny and interesting.


So with that hope, I'll buy Rise of the Ninja to help sales and the chance that they'll make a sequel or downloadale content for this game that adds co-op, story character selection, and stuff like that.
