    According to wikipedia, Masyaf (assasins starter city) was lost in the 13th century to Hulugu Khan, I believe hes chinese at least he looks it or persian, either way both tie in with the ending of assassins creed cause of the pictures. Maybe this could tie in with assassins creed 2? (the city was fought back by someone in the late 13th century who chased away the people who took the fortress).

    Maybe this could mean the possible japan/china scenario where the assassin is there in the 16th century to assasinate the emperor? as crazy as it sounds.

    Well if you have seen the ending of the game, then your idea isn't as crazy as you may think it is. AC2 having some sort of Chinese involvement is very possible.

    Well if it fell then what will happen with Altair? Is he going to die defending Masayif? What happens to the Emperor? If he dies from an assassination, then we might have a lead.

    Nah"kid, by the time of the invasion my guess is altair would be dead of old age or very old at least. the guy who captured the city, died closely after capturing it, so its all possible.

    im new here but ive done some research on the game and after looking in the games instrucition book u see that Altair was born in 1165 during the 12th century so to add on to what u all said altair could have died defending masalyf but he could have had a son who escaped and later took back masalyf
