Firstly sorry if this has been posted. I did a search for review and pcgamer in topic titles and found nothing.

So anyway PCgamer a pc magazine in the Uk has the world first review of DMoMM and has given it 88%. The little break done at the end lists it as

It's+Violent
+Exciting
+Hilarious

It's not -Oblivion
-In-depth
-Biblical

Overall the review is very positive and even says
''There's really nothing that can match Dark Messiah's combat.''

Well that's a dumb thing to say ! This review sucks.
1.
a) This game isn't supposed to be Oblivion.
b) Some of us DON'T LIKE Oblivion, Morrowind, or any other Elder Scrolls game !

2. It's not supposed to be in-depth, it's about combat, it's for people who like combat or people who like variety.

3. Biblical ???

IMHO, the biggest faults of DM are the bugs (at the moment, hopefully not at release time), and the cliche story.

regarding the bugs, i totally agree. But about the story, which we dont know anything about other then what the demo has provided us..well..enough said

To me the biggest fault of this review is that the game isn't even out yet - you're not suppose to "review" a game if you can't "view" it.

If you're not seeing the final build, if you're not smelling the retail box and you're smacking down a judgement, I'm sorry, you have just lost all credibility as a game journalist.

Do you realise game reviewers receive the final version of the game days and sometimes weeks before it's even shipped to the stores?

It's in the same sort of genre as Oblivion and there's no problem saying you prefer one over the other. I prefer Generals to WC3 ... the games are fundamentally different but I'm still allowed to have an opinion on which I think is the better.

This game ISN'T Oblivion, and that's exactly what they're putting across. No reason to complain about it.

AFAIK they never receive a full game, just a part of it to write the last preview. In this case it's funny that PC Gamer managed to publish world's 1st review even before the game has went gold!

Well, in US not. But in Germany they get the Full game days or Weeks before it's released in the stores

Still i find it hard to believe that anyone can get the final version of the game before it goes gold. Most of the time i read previews they point out that the game version they previewed was not the final version.
And im 100% sure that they do not have the final version of Dark Messiah, because the multiplayer isnt finished yet were still beta testing it...doh
Reviews are by name only made after the game has gone gold.
