Ohhh great they gave us three killer Christmas songs for free!!

What they did not give me is enough time to learn Carol of the Bells before saturday. I love this song. Great heavy version.

On saturday my two brothers in law, my other sister's boyfriend and my nephew are all coming over and bringing their guitars to check out Rocksmith. These guys are all very experienced, as in played with bands and such. I am not. I am a guitar no0b.

I'm trying my darndest to get this song down by saturday but with all my other pre Xmas comittments, it just aint gonna happen.

    Should be a blast anyway.

    The combo version is do-able.

If they are good at it, demo the combo
version then ask them if they want to
try the harder version, the solo.

    I ...almost know the feeling.

I snagged these this morning, and even though I've got "We Three Kings" up to about 70K, that solo is going to stand between me and "mastery" of that one like a brick wall.

My mother is a choir director in a very small very east somewhat south-ish town, and I'm just about to tell her about these versions. I'm fairly certain that version of "Carol of The Bells" will horrif-- er, tickle her. Yeah. Tickle her. That's the ticket.
