Yesterday, my wife & I returned from our trip down to Key West. It was our 3rd trip to Key West; we got married 3 years ago down there. I highly recommend going there at least once, it really is a very unique place. We've experienced something new everytime we've been down there, and there are still things that haven't done yet.

Here's where we stayed; a nice little poolside place with a private jacuzzi & hammock

Roosters (chickens are everywhere in Key West)

The pic below was taken while we ate breakfast at Blue Heaven, one of the top-rated KW restaurants

Pretty much everywhere. They're practically sacred in Key West. The last time I was there, there was a big controversy about somebody trying to round up chickens to deport them to the mainland.

Ahh the 7 mile bridge... I know it well. Although, as long as I lived in Florida I never got to Key West. I went to Largo, Islamorada and some others but I never drove all the way to Key West, probably because I wasn't 21. My girlfriend and I are trying to plan a trip, though. Brim those are great pictures man! it looks like y'all had a great time

BTW, some of you might know that I have a fondness for hats. I absolutely love my new Australian bush hat. The brim & top of the crown are a nice soft leather, while the crown itself is mesh allowing air to circulate. Plus, you can fold it and store it in its bag without damaging it.

Nicely done, Brim. Did you hit up the beach at Fort Zachary Taylor State Park? It's got to be one of the best beaches on the island. My buddies and I found it during our Spring Break trip down there this year.

I really want to go again though (it's is a very nice town). Though, instead of staying at the KOA on Sugarloaf Key, we want to go canoe out to the Dry Tortugas National Park. It's the closest thing someone can get to roughing it on an isolated, deserted island.

That dry from Orlando for you two must have been a ***** though. I guessit's nothing to a guy driving down the highway with his Australian Bush hat on.

Thanks to Phin for the sig!

Haven't done the Fort Zachary thing yet. We almost did on Saturday, but wound up just relaxing by the pool instead.

Canoeing out to the Dry Tortugas, eh? That would be one heckuva challenge; it's 70 miles from Key West. It took us 2 hours to get there on the Fast Cat last time we were down there.

Alright, I'm going to have to change that. It was my friend's idea for canoeing, but his whole Eagle scout thing goes to his head. I'd much rather take this Fast Cat that you speak of.
