I haven't played it, but I just saw a video of an M136 firing an IR guided missile in it.
So it looks like more kid-oriented crap to me. I'll definitely be passing.
from what I'v read the PC version will be the exact same as the consol version,locked at 16 player max and no dedicated servers at all.In short,they ballzed it up bigtime.
They won't be getting my money this time around.

From what ive heard, the single player is a constant stream of linear but epic set-pieces. The co-op is supposed to be substantial and fun (one player on the ground while the other covers in an ac-130). Apparently a bit short. Looks stunning.
I am picking it up when my sons get home from school.
I heard that some legitimate businesses in my area have been selling it for the last two days. If I have heard about this, then many others have as well. I see a big lawsuit on the way.
Back to the game, it looks very good and I cannot wait to watch my sons play it.

Steam servers are busy...honestly this nonsense totally screws up the excitement of buying a game on the release date ...Ive owned this disc since 11am and been trying to play since before 1pm ...its 8pm now and I havent even gotten it HALF installed...
Yeah on the day of a big release or big patch (like for Team Fortress 2) it is slow to download anything. I find that if my download gets slow, like in the kbps or .7mbps (on a 1.5mbps+ connection), if I "verify files" in the options for the game I'm downloading, it will go back to 1.5mbps or so.
I don't think I will get this any time soon. 30-player games in the original were often fun though 8v8 were a bit more manageable...but I got kind of bored of the game because of all the hackers and people who were really cheap and obnoxious, and all the damn nade spawn, plus it's hard to find servers that are any good. Also most of the maps are pretty lame and just turn into spawn invasions.

The game gave my vid card a heart attack, the graphics arent THAT much better than CoD 4 but at times you can count the frames and if I get 1 per sec then i'm lucky. No problems with the multiplayer element though
