    I have tried deleting C:\Users\yourname\Documents\Ubisoft\Driver San Francisco- no help there. I use a Razer Lycosa keyboard, Naga mouse and Nostromo keypad. The Nage emulates the number keys and the Nostromo emulates the left side of the keyboard. I killed the software in task manager and also unplugged both devices-still no luck. I don't know if it matters but I am using Windows 7 64 bit... how about you guys?

    I'm having the same problem.. I've deleted the savegame, unplugged all my USB's apart from mouse and keyboard and still nothing seems to make it work, it just crashes back to the desktop. I'm using Win 7 Pro x64 by the way.

    Having the same problem,

    have logged the following with Ubisoft

    Driver san francisco - Game crashes on startup

    Cant seem to run this game on my machine (Intel Core2 quad q8300 @ 2500mhz, 4gb ram, MSI MS-7529, ATI Radeon HD 5700 (with latest drivers), Win 7 64bit SP1).

    Game installs, updates inself then when i click play the screen goes black and then 5 seconds later it crashes with the message "Driver.exe has stopped working".
    I have re-installed multiple times on different drives/folders, updated drivers, tried various compatability modes, tried some of the possible solutions in the forum even re-installed windows but it still crashes.

    The only slight difference i have noticed is if i put driver.exe in compatability mode (any os) i also get the following error :-

    Microsoft Visual C++ runtime Library

    Runtime Error

    Program: C:\program files(x86)\Ubisoft\driver san francisco

    Hope you can help

    I have a feeling its something to do with 64 bit systems. It only seems to be happening to people that have Windows 7 x64. Hopefully they patch bring out a patch for this problem.

    I've had this problem and I've tried everything that has been suggested so far. I've removed the game's seal and I now I can't return it to the store I bought it from. Ubisoft are surely aware of the problem now. I just wish they'd give us some advice. What a waste of money.
